Formed in October 2015, we are a group of entrepreneurial and innovative internationals who stem from a diverse range of disciplines and backgrounds. Synergistically combining our collective experience, passion, individual motivations and knowledge, our primary goal is to compete against ourselves. We believe that the most potent form of competition is the ability to surpass oneself and challenge
oneself to develop new and exciting skills, to uncover talent and innovation that we didn’t know we had, and to learn from and teach one another. We strongly believe that rigorously executed fundamental analysis is the key to successful investing. To our minds, investing is that rare gem that combines a wide range of interests, including history, business, economics, accounting, current-affairs and geopolitics. We are learning about how to make money. But more importantly we are learning about people and about the world. Our strategy involves investing primarily in equity, with each individual presenting an investment proposal in their respective field of interest. The collective power of the group is key, and every investment proposal will be improved upon and critiqued by feedback from all other members. Democracy, critical mindedness and group-decision making are at the core of Helios. Helios is the personification of the Sun in Ancient Greek mythology. It is the sun that symbolises vision, clarity and consistency and it is these same qualities that we strive toward as investors. As enterprising individuals, we believe that the goal of individual investing should be financial independence.
