If you own or are buying a home in the Netherlands, you may hear both terms. But they are not necessarily the same amount, slide to see the difference.

👉 Example:
Your WOZ value may be €400,000, while your home’s current market value could be €450,000.

Why? Because the WOZ value is based on a valuation date in the past, while the market value reflects what the property could be worth today.

💡 Buying a home? Don’t assume that the WOZ value is the same as the value used by the bank for your mortgage. A professional valuation may be required.
