As the final part of our service, together with the agent who represents the landlord, we conduct a thorough inspection of the property.

During this appointment, we walk through the property with you to carefully assess its condition. We check the functioning of installations and appliances, the presence of inventory, meter readings, and the overall state of maintenance.

All findings are recorded in a clear and comprehensive inspection report, ensuring that both you and the landlord know exactly in what condition the property is being handed over. This prevents misunderstandings later on and allows you to move into your new home with complete peace of mind.

This is how we conclude the house search proces, making sure everything is properly taken care of.

Moving to the Netherlands? It’s important register at the municipality (gemeente) once you have signed your rental agreement.

If you’re planning to stay in the Netherlands for more than 4 months, you’re required to register at the local gemeente within 5 days of your arrival. This is a crucial step because:

• You’ll receive your BSN (citizen service number) – needed for opening a bank account, working, seeing a doctor, and more.
• It makes you officially part of the Dutch system (yay, you’re in!).
• It gives you access to services like health insurance, education, and housing benefits.

What you need to bring:
• A valid passport or ID
• A rental contract or proof of address
• Birth certificate (sometimes, depending on the city)
• If applicable: employment contract or proof of enrollment (for students)

Pro tip: Appointment slots can fill up quickly—especially in cities like Amsterdam, Utrecht, or Rotterdam—so book online as soon as you have a confirmed address!
