UMUAHIA EAST, NOT FOR SALE.
The ongoing activities in Umuahia east can best be described as sham, fraudulent and embarrassingly insulting. The activity can now be summarised as Umuahia east for sale. While we do not in anyway wish to discourage the people from accepting such monies as its their's, we also wish to remind them the consequences of selling their conscience. It's no more a news that we as the Umudiawa people ( Ndume and Amaoforo ) have consolidated our stand on the fact that it's Ndume person for Umuahia east constituency in the Abia state house of assembly come, 2019 or nothing.
It's so annoying that some persons are either not aware or have deliberately decided to be ignorant of the fact that they are being used as pawns in a chess game. For example, the convener of the meeting at Umuana where most of our youths were gathered to be embarrassed with a paltry N600k to adopt a very wrong candidate, convened that meeting for two selfish reasons, 1 to be recommended and supported as the General manager of Abia Line and 2 to bargain that come 2023 his son will replace the current member representing Umuahia east. You are busy supporting and defending your own oppressors because someone who receives N26million quarterly on your behalf is just sprinkling and dangling a few Naira notes before you. Please bear in mind that we will happily support and appreciate any political appointment ceded to Ndume but not by mortgaging our collective interest for personal or selfish gains.
I have severally asked my cynics never to bring the topic of performance to public discussion anytime we are discussing the issues of Umuahia east as regards to 2019 election. Like I highlighted above, that a man receives N26million quarterly for our sake, and sprinkles N5m to N6m on his constituents does not in any standard present him a performer. If I may ask, what does it take to be seen as a performing legislator? There are 3 major things or criterion in assessing a legislator, 1) how many bills have you passed? 2) how many motions have you moved? 3) how many projects have you attracted to your constituency? Philanthropic activities are secondary. I will want any rational and objective being to analyse and appraise the current member representing Umuahia east and see if he will not score a CAPITAL 0.
Presently, instead of our representative to concentrate with legislative matters which was why he was voted there, he is busy looking for votes and conscience to buy, last week Fri, he went to Umuana Ndume, an ABSIEC WARD and gave them N600k, on Sunday, he went to Isieke where Ibeku youths were meeting and insulted them with the sum of N100k. It's on record that the N1million he promised Ibeku youths over a year now has entered voice mail. Like we've always averred, the money is ours, anytime it's given to us, we will take it, so please if your ABSIEC ward or group in Umuahia east have not gotten their own share of the largesse, make a move for adoption and your own will get to you CASH.
We the Umudiawa people have resolved that since our representative have resorted to throwing tantrums, we will not join him in the mud but will always pray for his sanity.
We therefore wish to use this opportunity to invite everyone to our meeting at Amuzuoro Amaoforo Ibeku by 3pm tomorrow 24th November 2017. Come let's salvage the land of Ndume.
