Uber drivers planning to protest over a business closure should ask themselves: why not protest the bad government policies that are forcing businesses to shut down?

Businesses are closing, jobs are disappearing, yet many Nigerians expect pastors and wealthy individuals to create companies and jobs for them.

Then they vote for the same bad system for a bag of rice.

Go ahead collect 2k in 2027 election and expect miracle to change the economic situation in Nigeria.

The indigenous Igbo community in Edo State celebrate her new yam festival.

The Igbanke New Yam Festival was a vibrant celebration of Igbo culture, tradition, and heritage.

High Chief Dr. Nwachukwu Anakwenze, Ike Ndigbo, led a delegation of Igbo traditional leaders to the festival, joining the people of Igbanke in honouring the new yam season.

From colourful cultural displays to the traditional sharing of the new yam, the celebration showcased the enduring values of unity, community, gratitude, and respect for tradition.

Untold Story of Igbo's of Igwurita Rivers State.

Listen to what the British documentary says: this was an area where Igbo people had lived for centuries before the outbreak of the civil war. When the war began, many fled their communities, while others later moved into and took over some of the abandoned settlements.

Igwurita was, and remains, a very large community located before entering Port Harcourt City.

These same people were later relocated to another part of Igbo land by the then Governor of Imo State, Dee Sam Mbakwe.

Bayelsa: A Multi-Ethnic State.

Bayelsa State is often described simply as an “Ijaw state,” but its ethnic composition is more diverse.

Former President Goodluck Jonathan is Ogbia, not Ijaw. The state is home to several distinct indigenous groups, including the Ijaw, Ogbia, Epie/Atissa, Urhobo and Igbo communities, with differences in language, culture and history.

The Ogbia have their own language and identity, just as the Epie/Atissa have distinct linguistic and cultural roots. This makes Bayelsa a heterogeneous, multi-ethnic state, rather than an exclusively Ijaw state.

Recognizing these distinctions is essential to understanding the complex history and identity of the Niger Delta.
