Knowing Specific Hemorrhoids Symptoms

Not many people know that piles are divided into two major types: internal and external. That's why most people think that all hemorrhoids symptoms are just the same. Understanding the general signs - as well as the specific ones - will help you determine whether you suffer from the issue or not. Moreover, if you know the specific signs, you know which type of piles you are suffering from. Here is the basic information and knowledge that you should have before rushing to the nearest hospital.

Understanding Hemorrhoids Symptoms

If you are suffering from discomfort or pain whenever you remove your stool - accompanied by bleeding stool, itchiness, and burning sensation - it is likely that you suffer from piles. Itchiness happens because there is seeping mucus that will irritate the skin around the a**s. Skin irritation is also possible because of the mucus. Burning sensation usually occurs when the veins are swollen and inflamed. The discomfort happens because the bulging piles at the end of the a**l ca**l make you feel as if you still needed to pass the stool. The bigger the bulge, the greater this discomfort will be. Moreover, a bigger lump is usually accompanied by pain.

Besides those general signs, there are some general signs that you need to be aware of:

• Bleeding stool with or without pain

• Swelling in the a**l area

• The existence of a lump around the a**s, which may be painful, sensitive, or even painless

• F***s leakage

The bleeding stool isn't exclusively to piles alone. It is also a sign of:

• Colon polyp

• Re**al prolapsed

• A**l fistula

• Anore**al abscess

• Inflammatory bowel disease

• Colon cancer

That's why you should consult your doctor immediately if you spot any blood on your stool or on the toilet paper. By performing medical procedures, doctors can tell whether you are suffering from piles or other diseases that may require more serious treatments.

To understand the different symptoms of piles, you also need to understand the different conditions of the issue.

• In external piles, the veins are usually covered by regular skin, which means that there are pain fibers. Blood will pool under your skin, resulting in painful and hard lumps. That's why this kind of issue is also called clotted or thrombosed piles. This kind of issue is usually painful because of the lump outside the a**s. When hard stool passes by, the pain can be quite intense. Not to mention that it is also possible to experience skin tag excess, which can lead to skin irritation because of the difficulty to clean off properly after having a bowel movement.

• In internal piles, since there is no pain fiber within the veins, you won't feel any pain although you experience bleeding stool. The vein inside the a**s might be swollen, but this issue isn't generally accompanied by discomfort or bleeding. The lump has this delicate surface that can tear off when hard stool passes by. That's when you experience bleeding stool, although you can't really feel or see the lump, because it is inside the a**s. However, it is also possible that the lump is protruding throughout the a**s. When it happens, you may feel pain.

Say Goodbye To Pile Pains & Embarrassment For Good

Piles are considered to be one of the common problems, a number of people are suffering from. Dealing with bleeding and itchy piles can be painful. They may occur suddenly and cause discomfort to you in no time. You require paying a visit to the doctor in case the pain becomes unbearable. However, if your issue is in the primary phase, you can try the following remedies for Piles Treatment:

Stay away from distraction:

You should go to the washroom as soon as you feel the urge for defecating. You should not do any activities in the toilet such as reading newspapers, watching videos or chatting on the phone or doing anything that may distract you. Instead, you should sit on the toilet and wait for the stool to occur.

Sitz bath or hydrotherapy:

In accordance with Dr. Ashwin Mallya, a well renowned hepatobiliary and gastrointestinal surgeon, sitz bath happens to be one of the effective means for Piles Treatment and conferring relief during painful, inflamed and itchy piles. Accomplishing sitz bath is considered to be free from hassles. To accomplish sitz bath, you need to soak the a**l part in a tub having lukewarm water along with povidone iodine solution or potassium permanganate tablets for a duration of 10 to 15 minutes. The salt and warm water aid in conferring relief against congestion, improvement of a**l circulation and reduction of inflammation.

Cold compress or ice pack:

Ice contributes to being the most effective piles treatment to deal with swelling and inflammation during piles. If you are not being able to use the ice pack, you may crush some of the ice cubes and wrap the same in a plastic sheet or bag. You can make use of a washcloth for covering the plastic bag. You can lie in a comfortable position on your back after which you can apply the ice cubes on the a**l area for a time period of 10 minutes.

Consumption of fiber rich foods:

Diet plays an integral role in the prevention of piles. They are also counted to be responsible for the reduction of hemorrhoidal pain. You should consume a diet enriched with high fiber and complex carbohydrates for procuring relief during piles. Fiber plays a vital role in conferring relief during constipation. You can consume barley, oatmeal, beans, whole grain cereals, fenugreek and citrus fruits such as oranges and other rich sources of fiber.

Eating flavonoid-enriched food items:

Foods that are enriched with flavonoid such as citrus fruits, cherries, blueberries, blackberries enhance the strength in the structure of vein. This aids in the improvement of circulation around the areas of the a**s. A meta-a**lysis has revealed the fact that flavonoids are beneficial in the Piles Treatment and reduction of the symptoms of piles by almost 8% with the reduction of the chances of persistent pain, bleeding, recurrence and itching.

Application of petroleum jelly:

People who are suffering from hemorrhoids, constipation or piles may need to spend an ample amount of time straining during bowel movements. Using a lubricating agent such as petroleum jelly before passing bowel movement is beneficial in avoiding straining.

Hemorrhoids, more commonly known as piles, are a common occurrence in old people. They usually occur due to the application of extra pressure during bowel movements. Many people try different methods to get rid of hemorrhoids as quickly as possible, while others just wait for them to go away. This leaves us to deal with the question: do hemorrhoids go away on their own?

Tips for Pain:

Many people hope that, as with many other non-threatening ailments, they will go away after some time, however, many others question if hemorrhoids go away on their own, while secretly hoping that they do. Sadly, hemorrhoids do not go away without external help. There are many factors that strain the hemorrhoids like extreme pressure during bowel movements, pregnancy, and poor diet.

Basically, hemorrhoids are of two types:

Internal Hemorrhoids
External Hemorrhoids

As mentioned before, hemorrhoids do not go away on their own and there is no certain time period for them. Some people feel fine after one or two weeks, but if not treated properly, you may need to opt for surgery.

Here are a few home remedies you can apply to ease your pain or even treat your hemorrhoids.

• Sit in a tub with warm water a minimum of three times a day so as to reduce inflammation. Remember to pat the a**l area clean after the baths.

• Increase your fluid intake along with a gradual increase of fiber in your diet. This will act as a stool softener and relieve some pressure from hemorrhoids. This also helps prevent constipation from further aggravating hemorrhoids.

• Avoid sitting for long hours. Sit on rubber or air donuts. Add some form of exercise to your schedule. Add some light cardio routine so as to stimulate bowel movement. Do not avoid going to the bathroom; whenever you have the urge to go to the bathroom, attend to it. If you do not, the increased pressure may have a negative effect on the hemorrhoids.

• If possible, use OTC ointments, or creams to relieve the pain. These won't cure hemorrhoids but they will relieve you of the pain by numbing the area.

Medical Procedures:

If even after trying out the home remedies, the hemorrhoids have not left you, then you will have to turn to medical help. Currently, you can choose from many medical options available to you.

Medication:

• You can use medicated creams that contain hydrocortisone to help relieve your pain. It is not recommended to use these creams for extended periods as they have a negative effect on the skin and can cause atrophy.

Minimum Invasive Procedures:

• On many occasions, a blood clot is formed inside the hemorrhoids, and in such cases, the doctor will use a simple invasive procedure to remove it.

Surgical Procedures:

• In some extreme cases, surgery is unavoidable and this may result in you being admitted to the hospital, and staying there for a day or two after the surgery.

Hemorrhoids can be a painful story that hinders many activities and pleasures of life. When the condition is medically advanced, it might require the intervention of a professional. But the good news is that the solution does not always have to be surgery. There are non-surgical hemorrhoids treatment processes to relieve the pain and ease the patient from the grip of this ailment too.

Injecting the Vein

This is a simple procedure of injecting the swollen vein. The blood flow is curbed, usually using rubber bands and this will cause the collected blood and mucus to be safely released, most probably using the process of suction. The procedure does not cause much pain and is usually used to treat grade 2 and grade 3 hemorrhoids.

Infrared Photocoagulation

The main principle remains the same as that of the previous procedure. A laser beam or infrared photocoagulation is used to stop the blood flow to a particular area. Thus, hemorrhoid dies without blood flow and is safely taken out. The disadvantage with this process is that in case of multiple hemorrhoids, only one can be treated at once. It takes a gap of around a fortnight for it to heal and become safe for the next one to be treated or removed. One disadvantage of this treatment is that the laser might cause damage to the cells that are around the targeted area though it is said to be effective than the previous one.

These are currently the main procedures that treat this condition without requiring surgery. They are usually less painful than the surgical procedure and quite effective too. To choose between the two one must research well, talk to medical professionals, and, if possible, people who have undergone the treatment. This will help in creating clear ideas using facts so that the best option can be chosen.

What to Look For When Going for Non-Surgical Hemorrhoids Treatment

• Not all doctors know exactly what and how to go about with these treatments as they are relatively new. It is essential to choose a professional who is well trained in these, and preferably experienced as well.

• Consider choosing a well-reputed hospital as well. The area where the treatment will be performed is a sensitive one and choosing a place without enough medical facilities might end up in unnecessary complications.

• Usually, most people experience a mild case of hemorrhoids that goes away with proper care and a few home remedies. Only after consultation with a doctor should one opt for the treatments.

• After the treatment is over, follow-up should be religiously done and the advice given by the doctor must be strictly followed. The wound will be healing, and this stage requires high levels of care.

For some, surgery may really be the better option. Whatever it is, a medical expert can always make well-informed decisions on what is right. It is recommended to take a second opinion when in doubt.

Hemorrhoids develop when the veins in and around the re**um become irritated and swollen.

Most cases of hemorrhoids are not serious enough to warrant medical attention but they can be pretty painful and uncomfortable until the flare-up subsides.

They can occur for a multitude of reasons, but some of the most common causes of hemorrhoids are:

STRAINING

Excessive straining due to constipation is probably the most common cause of hemorrhoids.

When straining to have a bowel movement, the veins in the re**um can become agitated and expand causing an outbreak of hemorrhoids.

To avoid straining, only go to the bathroom when the urge hits and do not sit on the toilet any longer than necessary.

Also, try taking a fiber supplement or stool softener to help things flow smoother.

Eating a healthy high-fiber diet consisting of fruits, lean proteins, and vegetables is also recommended.

SITTING FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME

Sitting for long periods of time is another major cause of this condition to occur.

When you sit for hours on end, your lower body is supporting all of your weight. This continuous pressure can lead to the veins becoming irritated and swollen, causing a flare-up.

To reduce the chances of this occurring, get up and stretch approximately once every hour for a few minutes.

These little breaks can help significantly reduce the chance of hemorrhoids occurring.

OBESITY

Carrying excess weight can put additional strain on all parts of the body including the rear end.

This extra weight can be a trigger for this condition to develop.

To avoid this, you should try keeping your weight within a healthy range for your body size and type by exercising and eating healthier.

LOW FIBER DIET

Not getting enough fiber in your diet leads to constipation, which leads to straining.

Straining related to constipation is deemed to be the primary cause of hemorrhoids.

Adding more fiber to your diet from fruits and vegetables or through fiber supplements can help to bulk up your stools and keep your digestive track flowing smoothly, lessening the chance of a flare-up occurring.

PREGNANCY

Pregnancy increases the chance of getting hemorrhoids because as the uterus gets larger, it puts more pressure on the veins and blood vessels in the pelvic and a**l region which can cause hemorrhoids to become agitated and flare up.

In addition, many women develop hemorrhoids during delivery because of the extreme pressure from pushing out the baby.

In most cases, pregnancy-related hemorrhoids will go away on their own but if not, you will have to treat them with over-the-counter and home remedies.

If this does not work you will have to consult with your doctor for other treatment options.

There are other reasons that this condition can occur, but these are five of the major causes of hemorrhoids.

Most cases can be treated from the comfort of your own home using simple home remedies or over-the-counter remedies such as witch hazel or topical creams.

To keep flare-ups from returning you should follow the above recommendations.

Doing these simple things should help to keep hemorrhoids flare-ups to a minimum.

In addition, exercise regularly and add healthy fiber-rich foods and at least eight glasses of water daily to your diet.

CAN HEMORRHOIDS CAUSE ABDOMINAL PAIN AND BLOATING?

Abdominal pain or bloating is not normally a direct result of hemorrhoids. However, a few of the things which CAUSE hemorrhoids including, constipation and bowel problems including excess gas or diarrhea can give you abdominal pain and bloat.

By the end of this article, I will try to give you some idea as to why your abdominal symptoms may not necessarily be specifically caused by the hemorrhoids, but that they can instead be a side effect of whatever has caused the hemorrhoids.

OK, to start with, let's talk a little about your hemorrhoids and this feeling of abdominal pain or bloating.

HEMORRHOIDS & ABDOMINAL PAIN AND BLOATING

I decided to write this article as many people will associate abdominal pains with their hemorrhoids when in most cases this is not so and we will discuss this.

The reason people think this is that a couple of the main hemorrhoid causes are becoming constipated or eating particular foods which irritate the a**l area and cause hemorrhoids.

Without question constipation can cause abdominal pain and eating particular foods can be to blame for feeling bloated.

I guess you have arrived here however because you are suffering with abdominal pain or bloating, so let us discuss the reasons you could be getting these symptoms and their possible causes. I very much doubt if they are caused by your hemorrhoids.

Here Are 3 Of The Most Common Causes Of Abdominal Pain Or Bloating

1. Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Irritable bowel syndrome, also called IBS is more common in ladies. No one really knows what causes IBS but the symptoms often include constipation (or diarrhea). You may also get abdominal cramps and bloating. To treat IBS, along with various medications, you also need to change your diet and I would even go as far as to say you need to change your overall lifestyle.

One problem with IBS is that the symptoms often come and go. They have been known to last for weeks or even months which can really pull you down, especially if at the same time you are also suffering the pain of hemorrhoids.

Here is how to relieve IBS symptoms and also relieve piles or better still never get them in the first place...

Get lots of exercises

Keep a diary and note foods that worsen them

Relax as much as possible. Stress is bad.

Try Probiotics for a few weeks

Homemade food with natural ingredients will help abdominal problems as well as hemorrhoids

As well as these - try AVOIDING these things

Eat slowly and don't skip meals

Fatty or spicy foods are bad for IBS and also hemorrhoids - Keep To A Minimum

Limit your fresh fruit to about 240 grams a day

DRINKS - Limit tea or coffee to around a total of 3 a day and keep alcoholic or fizzy drinks to a minimum

2. Hemorrhoids Biggest Enemies - Constipation And Diarrhoea

Hemorrhoids do not like Constipation and Diarrhoea.

When you are constipated, you push harder to pass a stool. Then what happens is that the a**l and re**al veins swell up. And when they swell, you are now the proud owner of hemorrhoids, often known as piles.

Basically, sorry to be crude but they are a varicose vein in the arse. They come in two types. Number 1 is external hemorrhoid, these are on the outside of the a**s. Internal hemorrhoids are in the a**l or re**al linings

Avoiding constipation and diarrhea will help the abdominal discomfort, bloating, and flatulence (farting), as well as helping to relieve hemorrhoids

Here are some ideas...

Keep regular by eating porridge oats

Linseeds are very good, eat around a tablespoonful daily if possible

Avoid products containing Sorbitol

Foods like Brussel sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, dried fruit, onions, and beans are hard to digest and cause bloating and wind - AVOID

Buscopan (from chemists) eases stomach cramps and that bloated feeling

Do not eat too much high fiber food such as wholegrain foods, brown bread, and nuts

Diarrhea can really upset hemorrhoids as well as causing abdominal pain. Medications like Loperamide (better known as Imodium will help)

3. Flatulence Or Gas - Also Known As Farting

What Is Flatulence

Flatulence or Farting as it is better known is the release of gas from your digestive system and out through the a**s. It is caused by gas collecting inside your digestive system. Although it can be embarrassing, it is completely natural.

Gas builds up in a couple of ways. The first is when you eat or drink, you can swallow air. This then causes two gases, oxygen and nitrogen to increase in the digestive system. Secondly, other gases such as hydrogen, methane, and carbon dioxide also increase as your food is digested, giving you flatulence (wind). Either form of gas production can cause flatulence stomach ache and bloating.

What Causes Flatulence?

The main cause is eating various foods which take a long time to digest. These foods include Apples, Prunes, Lentils, Beans, Broccoli, Cabbage, Prunes, Fruit Juices. Also, anything containing Sorbitol should be avoided.

The one thing that the above foods all have in common is that they take a long time to digest, this is why farts smell so bad as the food has been stuck in your system for ages. The body cannot absorb these foods so they pass out of the intestines and into the colon when they have not been digested properly. The colon contains bacteria that break down the food but unfortunately as they do so gas is released. It is all these gases building up in the digestive system that causes abdominal pain, bloating and of course wind.

To Conclude

Whilst we can safely say that as a rule hemorrhoids do not normally cause abdominal pain or bloating, a few of the actual CAUSES OF HEMORRHOIDS such as constipation, diarrhea, or eating the wrong types of food can cause these abdominal problems.

I hope this has answered the question reasonably well and hopefully your hemorrhoids will soon be gone.

If you are suffering from hemorrhoids, it is really worth watching this video which has helped thousands of people clear their hemorrhoids FAST and permanently, and it's completely natural.

Hemorrhoid Treatment Not Working And Here Is Why:

Most people when suffering from piles start with hemorrhoid creams or ointments. They do this for one of 2 reasons.

Firstly they are easy to obtain over the counter and secondly they don't like the idea of a digital re**al examination by the doctor.

People will say that the creams are not working. The reason is that whilst they provide temporary hemorrhoid relief, they are not a hemorrhoid cure.

They will normally then move on to hemorrhoid suppositories which whilst not a cure give temporary relief, especially to internal hemorrhoids. People soon stop using them as they are messy as hell and often cause a**l irritation.

Hemorrhoid Banding is a bit more successful. The surgeon places a band around the hemorrhoid to cut off the blood supply so that it eventually drops off. Side effects include some pain and people often say that it has not worked when in fact what they are feeling is an ulcer that has formed at the banding site.

Another treatment is Sclerotherapy.

A surgeon injects into hemorrhoids which numbs the nerve endings and gets rid of hemorrhoid pain. A scar hardens at the injection site. This is a lot slower than hemorrhoid banding. It takes about 6 weeks for hemorrhoids to reduce in size or shrivel up.

Electrocoagulation (Electrotherapy).

A probe is placed at the base of the hemorrhoid and an electrical current is passed down the probe. This thickens the blood going to the pile, causing it to shrink

Probably the most effective treatment for piles is a Hemorrhoidectomy (Hemorrhoid surgery). Whilst successful it is also pretty expensive and whatever they may tell you, you will find it a bit painful for a few weeks. Although very successful, there is a 5% chance that the hemorrhoids could return.

There are various types of surgery but normally they will either involve removing hemorrhoids completely or cutting off its blood supply.

DIFFERENT TYPES OF PILES TREATMENT AND ITS SYMPTOMS

Piles or hemorrhoids are swellings that occur inside and around the a**s and the a**l ca**l. The a**l ca**l is the last part of the large intestine. There are many small veins or blood vessels within the lining of the a**l ca**l.

These veins sometimes become wider and swollen with more blood than usual. The puffed-up veins and the overlying tissue might develop one or more small swellings called pile.

Different types of piles:

1. Internal piles - These form above a point 2-3 cm inside the a**s in the upper part of the a**l ca**l. They are usually painless as the upper a**l ca**l has no pain nerve fibers.

2. External piles - External piles form below a point in the lower part of the a**l ca**l. These are painful as the lower part of the a**l ca**l has pain nerve fibers.

Causes of piles:

• Constipation
• Pregnancy
• Ageing
• Hereditary factors
• Other causes like heavy lifting and persistent cough

Symptoms of piles:

There are many symptoms. Sometimes a person may not realize that they have piles as there are no symptoms which is felt. The most common symptom that one experiences is bleeding after going to the toilet to pass stools. The blood is usually bright red.

Another symptom is a hemorrhoid hanging down and can be felt outside the back passage or a**s. It pushes back after you have been to the toilet. However, if the piles is severe, then it remains hanging permanently and cannot be pushed back inside. One complication is that the blood supply to the hemorrhoid can be cut off and this intensely painful. Another complication is a blood clot or thrombosis which can form within the hemorrhoid. This is uncommon yet painful.

HOW TO KEEP HEMORRHOIDS FROM DEVELOPING?

As we probably are aware, hemorrhoids are the aftereffect of stoppage. How to dispose of hemorrhoids quickly? Your way of life should be changed.

1. Eat vegetables and natural products wealthy in fiber

2. Eat less red meat, like hamburger, sheep and pork. Those food varieties contain protein and fat and are difficult to be processed and cause our body to be excited bringing about clogging.

3. Eat less prepared food varieties like pizza and lasagnes.

4. Drink more water to keep away from lack of hydration

5. Have an ordinary resting schedule

Generally speaking, a solid way of life diminishes the probability of hemorrhoids developing and creating. Meanwhile, a customary solid discharge will decrease the opportunity of hemorrhoids too. When an even way of life is set up, hemorrhoids will vanish in the end.

HOW DO HEMORRHOIDS (PILE) DEVELOP?

Hemorrhoids are primarily brought about by stressing to a defecation. In the event that an individual is clogged up, he/she experiences issues in constraining stools out of the body, the stressing makes rear-end draining and irresistible, step by step the territory develops hemorrhoids. So if an individual has the stomach related medical issue, he/she can't have an ordinary solid discharge because of life pressure, way of life change or a terrible eating routine, it is truly workable for him/her to endure hemorrhoids, like ladies in pregnancy, the tension on uterus prompts hemorrhoids developing; Food inadequacy in fiber is another justification individuals developing hemorrhoids.

Absence of fiber utilization makes the defecation moderate and hard, and the butt is aroused brought about by blockage bringing about hemorrhoids. The other reason is accused of heftiness; the overweight body doesn't have adequate solidarity to create powers to dispense with the loss through the digestive system.

HOW CAN YOU SAY WHETHER YOU HAVE HEMORRHOIDS?

Hemorrhoids have outside and inward presences. Since they can't be seen, more often than not they are ignored until certain indications show up.

For inner hemorrhoids, nothing fills in the space of the rear-end, until a defecation happens, the bathroom tissue or latrine bowl has blood signs, and the individual will acknowledge something isn't right with his/her digestion system.

For outside hemorrhoids, the skin around the rear-end is swollen and distended and during a solid discharge, the contaminated region has a piece of blood combined with tingling and aggravation.

At the point when the individual endures external hemorrhoids, don't rub the territory since this alone motivates another episode of hemorrhoids to develop and it postpones recuperation of the tainted region. Let them be and apply some medication to keep away from genuine contamination.
