You will know the value of investing when you use your PhD to apply for a job in a form owned by a man who never went beyond secondary/High School. Many of the companies that employ PhDs were founded by people without degrees. Take a company like Apple. Thousands of PhDs (no exaggeration, Google it). Financial IQ #1: Making more money: Most of us have enough financial intelligence to make money.The more money you make, the higher your financial IQ. In other words, a person who earns a year has a measurably higher financial IQ than a person who earns annually.
Being of higher academic IQ or a genius does not guarantee financial intelligence. Financial intelligence is that part of the mental intelligence we use to solve our financial problems. You learn it you can't find it in the academic world

Financial IQ #2: Protecting your Money
A simple truth is that the world and its institutions are designed against us or simply put to take our money. We must note that one of the biggest financial predators of our money is taxes and banks deductions. Anyone who can find a way around all these predators can be said to be protecting his or her money wisely.

Financial IQ #3: Budgeting your money
Budgeting your money requires a lot of financial intelligence. Many people budget money like a poor person rather than a rich person. Many people earn a lot of money but fail to keep much money, simply because they budget poorly. Being able to live well and still invest no matter how much you make show you are financially intelligent.
