A MESSAGE OF GRATITUDE, UNITY AND APPRECIATION
FROM THE WAKIRIKE YOUTH LIBERATION MOVEMENT
The Wakirike Youth Liberation Movement expresses its deepest and most sincere appreciation to everyone who stood up, spoke out, intervened, prayed, supported and worked tirelessly towards the release of our National President, Tamunoene Henry Fred.
At a moment like this, we are reminded that Wakirike is strongest when we stand together.
We wish to specially and respectfully appreciate His Royal Majesty, King Winston Odiye Alamina Oputibeya XII, Amayanabo of Koniju Kingdom, Okrika, for his fatherly intervention, leadership and concern for the welfare of a son of Wakirike. Your Royal Majesty demonstrated that leadership is not only about position, but about standing for the welfare, peace and protection of the people.
We are profoundly grateful.
We also extend our special appreciation to Chief Amangi Sunday for his support, intervention and commitment during this difficult period. Your efforts and willingness to stand for peace and a positive resolution are sincerely appreciated.
Our heartfelt appreciation goes to Tonye Felix for his support, intervention and solidarity throughout this challenging period. Your willingness to stand up and contribute towards a peaceful resolution is deeply appreciated.
We also sincerely appreciate Hon. Linda Somiari Stewart, Deputy Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly and Representative of Okrika Constituency, for her prompt response and intervention. Your support and willingness to act when called upon are sincerely appreciated.
We equally extend our heartfelt appreciation to Hon. Desmond Stephen Sunday for his support and intervention throughout this period.
Our sincere gratitude also goes to his lawyer, for the legal support, guidance and professional commitment demonstrated throughout the process.
To my sister and fearless fighter, Justina Samuel, thank you for standing strong. Your courage, loyalty and willingness to stand by us during a difficult moment will not be forgotten.
To Davies Teme, we sincerely appreciate your support, commitment and solidarity throughout this challenging period.
We also appreciate the relevant security agencies and every individual who contributed, directly or indirectly, towards ensuring that this matter was peacefully resolved.
THIS IS A MOMENT FOR UNITY, NOT DIVISION
This experience should remind every son and daughter of Wakirike that we have far more to gain when we stand together than when we allow disagreements to divide us.
We may not always agree.
We may have different opinions and perspectives.
But disagreement must never become hatred, and differences must never destroy our collective identity.
We are one people. We are Wakirike.
The Wakirike Youth Liberation Movement believes that our young people must continue to participate responsibly in conversations about the future of our society while recognising the responsibility that comes with every voice and every platform.
As we move forward, we choose:
Peace over conflict.
Dialogue over hostility.
Unity over division.
Responsibility over recklessness.
Progress over personal differences.
To everyone who stood with Tamunoene Henry Fred during this period whether publicly or privately, through intervention, advice, prayers, encouragement or action we say:
THANK YOU.
Your support will never be taken for granted.
Let this moment become an opportunity for healing, reconciliation and stronger unity among our traditional institutions, political leaders, community stakeholders and the young people of Wakirike.
The Wakirike Youth Liberation Movement remains committed to promoting peace, unity, responsible youth advocacy and the collective development of our people.
TOGETHER, WE ARE STRONGER.
TOGETHER, WE WILL BUILD THE WAKIRIKE WE DESERVE.
TOGETHER, WAKIRIKE WILL RISE.
Long Live Our Traditional Institution!
Long Live Our Leaders!
Long Live Wakirike Kingdom!
Long Live Wakirike Youths!
Long Live the Wakirike Youth Liberation Movement!
Signed:
TAMUNOENE HENRY FRED
