Imperial Homes Mortgage Bank Limited is a financial institution duly licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria to undertake mortgage banking and related services. In 2007, Guaranty Trust Bank plc. (GTBank) acquired an existing mortgage institution and reincorporated it as GTHomes Limited (GTHomes) to reflect its relationship with GT Bank. GTHomes commenced operations in January 2008. However, in com
pliance with CBN Regulations and Circulars of October 2010 revoking universal banking practice in Nigeria, GTBank divested from its subsidiaries including GTHomes. In line with the divestment and as with GT Assurance, GTB Asset Management, and GTB Registrars which changed their names to Mansard Insurance, Investment One and DataMax respectively, we changed our name in March 2014 to Imperial Homes Mortgage Bank Limited. The Bank used to be known as GTHomes. It is still the same people and same structure. Determined to have the capacity to serve her customers effectively, Imperial Homes has an authorised share capital of N6 billion and shareholder's Fund in excess of N5 billion. As a result, it is one of the most highly capitalised mortgage banks in Nigeria today.
