On 21 November 2025, the African Reinsurance Corporation Nairobi Regional Office proudly hosted a high-level Breakfast Meeting for Kenyan Insurance Industry CEOs at the Radisson Blu, Upper Hill.
Dr Phocas Nyandwi (Regional Director) open the session, followed by insightful remarks from our Chief Guest, Mr Godfrey Kiptum (Commissioner of Insurance & CEO, Insurance Regulatory Authority of Kenya (IRA-K)).

The keynote address was delivered by Dr Corneille Karekezi (Group MD & CEO, Africa Re).

Africa Re was represented at African Heads of States & Financial Leaders Breakfast Dialogue at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on 16 February 2025. The event organized by the African Union and the Alliance of African Multilateral Financial Institution (AAMFI) aimed at mobilizing African investment and financial capacities to advance the African Union Agenda 2063. The Ghanaian President, H.E John Dramani MAHAMA, presided over the event.

Dr. Corneille Karekezi, Group MD/CEO of Africa Re, participated in the Dialogue as the 2nd President of the Alliance of African Multilateral Financial Institutions (AAMFI). He advocated for a stronger and more sustainable insurance industry in Africa. Picture below :
