Here are stocks that will be on our radar this week.
Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc
Transnational Corporation (commonly known as Transcorp) is on ITI’s stocks to watch this week by virtue of reports of key shareholder, Heirs Holdings, raising funds to purchase blocks owned by Shell. Heirs Holdings is ultimately controlled by Tony Elumelu. The deal, if successful, would lead to Transcorp running a power plant owned by Shell.
United Capital Plc
United Capital also occupies a spot on ITI’s watchlist due to the potential fundraise by Heirs Holdings. Tony Elumelu, the main party behind Heirs, also owns a stake in United Capital. As an investment bank, the company would play a key role in the transaction.
Capital Oil Plc
Capital Oil Plc will be holding an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on the 26th of July, 2018. The agenda of the meeting is the acquisition of a stake by Pinnacle Oil and Gas through a private placement.
Royal Exchange Plc
A suspension placed on the company was lifted last week Friday. The company has since released its results for the full year ended December 2017 and first quarter ended March 2018. Companies lifted from suspension tend to either fall or rise sharply.
These companies will be holding their Annual General Meeting before the end of July
Presco Plc

Studio Press Plc

Oando Plc
Oando Plc will be holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on the 27th of July, 2018. This AGM would be of note due to reports of the company’s Group CEO Wale Tinubu and Deputy CEO Mofe Boyo being asked to pay the sum of $680 million to Ansbury Incorporated, owned by Gabriele Volpi.

Please find below the market tips for the week.
1. Zenith Bank: the stock close below its short term moving average. We recommend a buy at N22.80. The exit price will also be adjusted to N25 if that is the case.
2. Cadbury: we maintain our position the stock. It has lost about 20% in value within 3weeks and is currently trading around N11. We believe that N10 will be a good entry price for the stock for an exit price of N12.50.
3. Guaranty Trust Bank: the stock close at N38 last week. We recommend a buy at N38.50. The exit price will also be adjusted to N41 if that is the case.
4. Wema bank: there is an immediate support at 62k. The next support is at 52k which is the January 3, 2018 support. We recommend a buy at 65k for an exit price of 75k.
5. OANDO: the stock rebounded last week. That notwithstanding, our outlook on the stock remain bearish. However, an entry price of N4.80 will be attractive in the short term.
6. WAPCO: we will watch out for a change in the trend of the stock this week. The stock remains bearish in the short and medium term.
7. Unity bank: a buy at 87k for an exit of N1.02.

9. UBA: a buy at N9.00 for an exit of N10.50
10. PZ: a buy at N15.40 for an exit of N18.
Please note that the following highlights remained relevant:
• Half year result of companies with 31st December as their year end is expected to start coming in (they have 45days to submit Interim Report). This expected is expected to boost the prices of listed equities and trigger market reactions as they are released.
• Companies that are expected to pay interim dividend may delay a little (their result must be audited) this may further act as confirmation of the intention to pay.
• PENCOM multi-fund structure has taken effect; we expect to begin to see the impact from this week.
Thank you.

As audited accounts start to trickle in, companies will propose dividend payments to their shareholders as recommended by their respective boards of directors. It is also important to track these announcements to know who is eligible to collect the dividend, when it will be approved and when it will be paid. Dividend payment also affects share prices.
