CBN adjust bank directors tenure to 20 years

The Central Bank of Nigeria has adjusted the tenure of bank directors to a cumulative 20 years period after which they cannot be a director at any bank. This was released in a press statement dated 24th February this year. It was signed by the apex bank's Director of Financial Policy and Regulation Department, Mr Chibuzo Efobi.

Nigerian Breweries Plc earns 7.7% growth in 2022 PAT YoY

The latest report shows that Nigerian Breweries Plc earns 7.7 percent growth in 2022 profit after tax (PAT) year on year (YoY). It also has a revenue increase of 25.9 percent and earnings per share of 1.58 Naira per share. The company's growth seems tremendous despite its reliance on foreign exchange which wasn't stable in 2022.

Tesla Deliveries in Q4 missed Wall Street expectations

Tesla, on Monday, announced its total production and deliveries for quarter four, 2022. But the numbers missed Wall Street expectations. While it was expected that the electric automaker will deliver not less than 420,000 cars in Q4, Tesla reported that it delivered slightly over 405,000 cars which were 15,000 less than expected.

CBN reversed the cash withdrawal limit

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has reversed its cash withdrawal limit. On December 6th the Bank proclaimed that it is reducing the amount of cash an individual or company can withdraw from money deposit banks. The aim was to pursue its cashless policy and as claimed reduce inflation.
