WHY I MADE “EVERY SCAR HAS A SONG” 😭❤️

My dear friends, please listen to me for a moment.
You may hear a song and simply enjoy the melody.
But sometimes, there is a whole life story behind that song.
So, why did I make **“Every Scar Has A Song”?
Because I know what it means to struggle.
Growing up, I didn't have the opportunity to attend the best schools. I walked long distances to school because transportation was often a luxury I couldn't afford.
Sometimes, even the little money I had was barely enough to eat.
50 kobo.
Yes… 50 kobo.
That was what I sometimes had in my pocket back in the 90s.
At just about 12 years old, after returning from school—sometimes after trekking a long distance—I would still have to go out and look for labour work.
Not because I wanted to.
Because I had to.
I worked so I could help feed myself, support my needs, and sometimes contribute toward my school fees just to be promoted to the next class.
Those experiences were painful.
There were moments I could have asked myself:
“Is this really how my life is going to be?”
But somewhere deep inside me, I believed there had to be more.
I made a decision:
I would not allow my pain to become the end of my story.
I would make gain out of pain
Then I remembered something God had placed inside me— the gift of writing.
I began volunteering to write for my local community whenever they held community or town-hall meetings.
Eventually, the community noticed my gift.
Whenever there was a meeting, the head of the community would send for me to come and take the minutes.
And when the meeting ended, I would receive my little payment.
But to me, it meant something much bigger.
That was one of the moments I began to understand:
Maybe God wasn't wasting my pain.
Maybe He was preparing me through it.
That little writing opportunity became part of the journey that eventually led me into professional writing.
I became a freelancer on platforms like Upwork and Fiverr, helping clients shape their businesses through content, while also building my career as a banker.
And today, that same pen that once helped me survive has become part of the voice behind my music.
That's why I sing.
That's why I write.
That's why I made “Every Scar Has A Song.”
I made this song for the person who is hurting silently.
For the person who thinks their past has disqualified them.
For the person whose childhood was painful.
For the person who has been rejected, disappointed, broken, abandoned, or overlooked.
I want you to know this:
Your scar may tell your story,
but it does not have the authority to write your ending.
Your pain may have shaped you,
but it does not have to bury you.
Sometimes, the very place where you were wounded becomes the place where God puts a gift in your hands.
My scars gave me a story.
My story gave me a pen.
And that pen became a song.
