🌙 1448 AH | Happy Islamic New Year

بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

As we welcome the blessed year 1448 AH, we thank Allah ﷻ for the gift of a new beginning.

The Hijrah reminds us that every step taken for the sake of Allah is a step towards His mercy, guidance and pleasure. It is a timeless lesson in faith, patience, courage and unwavering trust in our Creator.

May this new Hijri year bring abundant barakah to our pupils, parents, staff and the entire Muslim Ummah. May Allah strengthen our īmān, increase us in beneficial knowledge, bless our homes with peace, and make us among those who strive sincerely for His pleasure.

“Indeed, with hardship comes ease.” (Qur’an 94:6)

THE SERIOUSNESS OF DEBT IN ISLAM

Debt is not just a financial matter—it is a matter that carries immense weight in our Deen.
The Prophet ﷺ repeatedly warned his Ummah about the dangers of unpaid debts. He even sought Allah’s protection from overwhelming debt in his daily supplications, and on one occasion refrained from leading the funeral prayer of a man until someone undertook to settle what he owed.
These narrations remind us that while Islam permits borrowing when there is genuine need, it also teaches us to:
• Borrow only when necessary.
• Have a sincere intention to repay.
• Record and document debts clearly.
• Honour repayment without unnecessary delay.
• Constantly seek Allah’s help in fulfilling our obligations.

May Allah ﷻ protect us from burdensome debt, grant us lawful provision, and enable us to meet the rights of others before we return to Him.
اللهم اكفني بحلالك عن حرامك، وأغنني بفضلك عمن سواك
“O Allah, suffice me with what You have made lawful instead of what You have made unlawful, and enrich me by Your bounty so that I have no need of anyone besides You.” (Tirmidhi)

The Year of Grief — a moment in the Seerah that reminds us that even the strongest hearts are tested.

In the same year, our beloved Prophet Muhammad lost two of his greatest supporters: his beloved wife, Khadijah, and his uncle, Abu Talib. Through pain, rejection, and sorrow, he remained patient, steadfast, and trusting in Allah.

A reminder that trials are a part of life, but reliance upon Allah brings strength, hope, and relief after every hardship. 🌙✨
