𝗟𝗢𝗔𝗡 𝗙𝗔𝗤: 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗔𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱.
Getting a loan is one thing; understanding how repayment works is another.

Over the past few days, we’ve received questions about loan repayment, penalties, and what happens when a repayment is delayed.
So, let’s clear up some of the most common questions:

✔️ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗳 𝗜 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝘆 𝗺𝘆 𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗻 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲?
Late repayment attracts applicable charges or penalties, depending on the terms of your loan.

✔️ 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗜 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝘆 𝗺𝘆 𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝘂𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲?
Yes. Early repayment is possible, subject to the specific terms and conditions of your loan. You may get a waiver if you repay early.

✔️ 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗺𝗲?
A missed repayment can affect your loan standing and may make it more difficult to access future credit.

✔️ 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗜 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝘀?
Your loan agreement contains the applicable repayment schedule, charges, and other important terms. Always review it before accepting a loan.

✔️ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝗜’𝗺 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁?
Don’t ignore it. Reach out to Grooming MFB as early as possible so your situation can be properly addressed.

Before taking any loan, understand how much you’re borrowing, how much you’ll repay, when repayments are due, and what happens if you miss a payment.
