I joined colleagues, members of the Cross River State Executive Council, government officials and sympathizers to receive the remains of our late Commissioner for Power and Renewable Energy, Prince Eka Williams at the Margaret Ekpo International Airport, Calabar, yesterday.

Prince Eka Williams Abang was a warm, likeable and joyous soul. It was a solemn moment of reflection for us all. May the Almighty Lord grant his soul rest and comfort his loved ones. Amen.

My friends and I were warmly received at the Palace of the Obol Lopon.

The festival is a rich display of culture, tradition and color. But what stood out the most? The people. So welcoming, so hospitable, so full of life.
