Have you ever analysed the market, everything is lining up perfectly, your entry is where you planned it, your stop loss is ready, your target is clear… but when it is time to enter, fear suddenly enters the picture? 😂
You start thinking:
“What if this trade loses?”
“What if I enter and the market reverses immediately?”
“Maybe I should wait for more confirmation.”
Then you wait… and the market moves exactly in the direction you predicted. 🤦♂️
This is one of the biggest psychological battles traders face.
Sometimes, the problem isn't that you don't know how to analyse the market. You are simply afraid of losing money.
And let's be honest: if you don't have confidence in your strategy or you are risking more money than you can comfortably afford to lose, fear will naturally take over.
The solution is not to eliminate fear completely. The goal is to learn how to manage it.
Have a clearly defined trading plan. Know your entry, stop loss, take profit and the amount you are willing to risk BEFORE you enter.
Most importantly, don't risk an amount that will make you emotionally attached to the outcome.
If losing 💲50 on a trade will make you panic, lose sleep or immediately want to revenge-trade, perhaps 💲50 is too much for your current risk level.
A trader who understands that losses are part of the business doesn't need to know that every trade will win.
You don't need certainty before entering a trade.
You need a valid setup, proper risk management and the discipline to accept the outcome.
Sometimes the trade will win.
Sometimes it will lose.
Your job is not to control the market.
Your job is to execute your plan.
So let me ask you:
Have you ever seen your setup, analysed it correctly, but failed to enter because you were afraid the trade would lose?
