CIFCFIN – NDLEA TO PARTNER IN THE AREA OF CAPACITY BUILDING, INSTITUTIONAL TRAINING AND SPECIAL TRAINING PROGRAMS.

On Thursday, July 19, 2024, Dr. Isa Salifu, FCCrFA, FCCFI, Registrar/CEO along with his team, paid a courtesy visit to the Secretary of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Barr Usman Shadrach Haruna at the NDLEA Headquarters in Area 11, Abuja.

During the visit, Dr. Salifu formally introduced the Institute and outlined potential areas for collaboration, particularly in capacity building, institutional and specialized training programs that will focus on contemporary forensic and fraud investigation techniques.

The Secretary expressed gratitude to Dr. Salifu and his team for the visit and acknowledged the critical importance of forensic science. He recognized the potential for a significant partnership between CIFCFIN and the NDLEA.

Speaking further, the Secretary conveyed his enthusiasm about the broader scope of collaboration opportunities presented by the visit. He identified key areas such as money laundering and asset tracing, and certificate forgery as potential areas for immediate joint efforts by the two Organizations.

With the Secretary, were the Heads of Legal and Prosecution Depts, respectively.

It was agreed that CIFCFIN should furnish the Agency with its training modules immediately, for consideration.

Accompanying Dr. Salifu were the Chief Finance Officer and the Team Lead of the Membership Department.

NIGERIA INSTITUTE OF SECURITY STUDIES TO PARTNER WITH CIFCFIN IN MAINSTREAMING CIFCFIN CERTIFICATION INTO THE NISS CURRICULA

The above was stated when the Registrar/CEO of CIFCFIN, Dr. Isa Salifu FCCrFA, FCCFI, paid a visit to the Pioneer Director, SPG, on Tuesday,July 16, 2024 at the NISS Academy, Usuma Dam, Bwari Area Council, Abuja.

The visit by the Registrar/CEO, who was accompanied by the Head, CSD of the Institute was a follow up to an earlier visit by the Pioneer President/Chairman of Council, Dr IB Gashinbaki to the Commandant of the Academy.

The Registrar/CEO, who was given an opportunity to address an Eminent Focus Group at the Academy, stressed the need for a strategic handshake between the two Institutes in the fight against fraud and corruption

Responding, Dr Karimi, the Director of SPG on his own part, appreciated the team from CIFCFIN for the visit and equally confirmed their disposition to the collaborative initiative by CIFCFIN.

The Director further promised that NISS will avail CIFCFIN, a full day opportunity to make a presentation to their 92 participants during their CIRB training.

CIFCFIN, NBA TO PARTNER IN THE AREA OF SPECIAL TRAINING PROGRAMS FOR NBA MEMBERS.

The Registrar/CEO, Dr. Isa Salifu FCCrFA, FCCFI, with his team, on Thursday, July 19, 2024, paid a courtsey call on the Chairman, NBA, FCT Branch at the Unity Office, Abuja.

The Registrar/CEO used the opportunity to congratulate the FCT Branch Chairman and his Executive on their recent election and prayed for their success.

Speaking further, Dr Salifu used the opportunity to formally introduce the Institute and possible areas of collaboration, particularly special training programs in contemporary forensic and fraud investigation techniques.

The Chairman, while thanking the Registrar/CEO and team for the visit, agreed on the importance of Forensics to the administration of the criminal justice system in Nigeria and the need for collaboration with the Institute.

The Chairman further assured the Institute of his support and promised to invite the Institute during their monthly meeting for the Institute to make a presentation and also, to ensure an invitation to the Institute for their 2024 Annual Conference in Lagos.

On the Registrar/CEO's team were Director, Membership and Professional Engagement, the Chief Finance Officer and Head, CSD.
