Head of Credit
AMAC Microfinance Bank Ltd, Abuja

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Credit to lead our credit function and drive sustainable growth.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in credit risk management, portfolio management, and building high-performing credit teams.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive credit risk management strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
Build and lead a high-performing credit team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and adapt credit strategies accordingly.
Oversee credit underwriting, approval, and monitoring processes to ensure optimal risk-adjusted returns.
Develop and maintain robust credit policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Conduct regular credit portfolio reviews and risk assessments to identify potential risks and opportunities.
Collaborate with other departments to optimise credit decision and customer experience.
Develop and implement credit scoring models and other advanced analytics tools.
Qualifications
Proven track record in credit risk management with at least [number] years of experience in a similar role.
Strong understanding of credit underwriting, portfolio management, and collections.
Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
In-depth knowledge of credit risk assessment methodologies and tools.
Excellent leadership and people management skills.

Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field; advanced degree and MCP preferred.
