BAHRAIN WBAF 2024 – Bahrain's Minister for Industry and Commerce, Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, and Sameer Nass, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber, participated in a press conference regarding the WBAF 2024 World Congress. The event took place at the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay, where they were joined by Baybars Altuntas, Executive Chairman of the World Business Angels Investment Forum, and Feryal Abdulla Nass, Chair of the Bahrain Entrepreneurship Organisation and Country Director of the WBAF Bahrain Country Office. Following the press conference, an Ambassadorial Consultation Meeting was held, with the participation of 23 ambassadors and economic attaches. Subsequently, ambassadors and guests attended the Premium Reception for VIP Guests, which followed the consultation meeting.
During the meeting, participants received video messages from global leaders. These included messages from Peter Jungen, Emeritus President of the European Trade Association for Business Angels (EBAN) in Belgium; Kevin Hin, Secretary General of JCI and Board Member of the Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens; Dr. Giovanni Zazzerini, Secretary General of the International Network for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (INSME) in Italy; Dr. Ingrid Vasiliu-Feltes, Country Director of the WBAF USA Office; and Dr. Gerhard Hrebicek, President of the European Brand Institute in Austria. These leaders announced robust delegations that will be joining the WBAF 2024 World Congress in Bahrain.
Bahrain is set to host the 2024 WBAF World Congress of Angel Investors (WBAF 2024), signifying a momentous occasion for the region. Taking place on November 19 and 20, the congress will unfold at the esteemed Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay, highlighting Bahrain’s commitment to fostering global collaboration and innovation. The theme for WBAF 2024 in Bahrain will center around 'Mobilising Entrepreneurship and Innovation Ecosystems for Financial Inclusion,' showcasing the nation's dedication to utilizing technological advancements for economic growth. As an affiliated partner of the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI), the World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF) underscores the importance of financial inclusion.
