Have you renewed your drivers/vehicle licence yet?

We recently had a few cases where clients were involved in vehicle accidents and due to their expired driver’s licences, the insurance companies had to reject their claims.

We as brokers always put our clients first, however it is still the client’s responsibility to make sure all affairs are in order.

Please make sure all documents are renewed and up to date.

The Christmas spirit has arrived to our brokerage and for sure you have all felt a little Christmas magic in each of our divisions.

It is a real pleasure having you as a client during the year and we thank you for trusting us with your personal/commercial and corporate assets. Our aim in 2017 is to be even more efficient.

Preparing for the Holiday:

Before you pack the car to go on holiday, please consider the following:

Buildings

Make sure that all the doors and windows lock properly.
Test all motion sensors and alarm signals with the alarm company.
Clear the gutters and inspect the roof for possible leaks.
Get someone to look after your property whilst you are away.
Activate the alarm and inform the response company accordingly.

Contents

Ensure that valuables are properly stored in a safe or safe deposit box.
Make sure that store rooms and or garages are clear of clutter.
Flammables must not be stored in a confined space.
Switch off electronic appliances that are likely to overheat.

All Risks Cover

This cover is for clothes and personal items that you pack when you travel.
Make sure that the insured amount is adequate and those items with a value higher than N$1000.00 is specified on your policy.

Vehicles / Trailers / Caravans

Make sure that vehicles are roadworthy before going on the road.
Keep your broker contact details and policy number at hand.
Adhere to road safety rules and pull off the road to rest when you are tired.
Accidents must be reported to the police immediately and inform your broker as soon as possible.
Where a third party is involved, get his/her full details.

Drive to arrive alive and enjoy your well deserved rest!
