If you want to claim under your short-term insurance policy, never admit liability or accept blame at the scene of the accident.

Even a simple apology can be seen as admitting fault and may affect your claim. Your insurer first needs to investigate the circumstances and determine liability.

Rather:
✔️ Stay calm
✔️ Exchange details
✔️ Take photos if possible
✔️ Report the accident to us immediately so we can assist and notify the insurer

It’s very important not to authorise repairs or expenses until your insurer has given approval. The insurer needs to first verify the damage, assess the claim, and confirm what is covered under your policy.
Approving costs upfront could unfortunately lead to expenses not being reimbursed.
