A look back at our Operationalising Assurance: Life Reassurance Policy Administration, Claims Management & Claims Fraud training held on 10–11 August 2026.

The sessions brought together industry professionals and peers for practical discussions, knowledge sharing and insights aimed at strengthening operational excellence in life reassurance, effective claims management and fraud prevention.

Leadership in Action | Shaping the Future of Namibia’s Public Enterprises

NamibRe Managing Director, Ms Patty Karuaihe-martin, participated in the Public Enterprises CEOs’ Strategic Dialogue with Her Excellency Dr Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, President of the Republic of Namibia, held on 6 August 2026 at NIPAM.

Participating in her capacity as Spokesperson of the Public Enterprises CEOs’ Forum, Ms Karuaihe-Martin contributed to a strategic dialogue focused on strengthening the role, performance and impact of Namibia’s public enterprises in advancing the country’s development priorities.

The engagement provided an important platform for CEOs of public enterprises to engage directly with the President on matters affecting the sector, including the effective implementation of NDP6, institutional capacity, accountability and the need for public enterprises to translate their mandates into tangible economic and socio-economic impact.

As Spokesperson, Ms Karuaihe-Martin continues to champion a collective voice for public enterprise leadership, encouraging collaboration, accountability and performance across the sector.

Unlocking FIMA. Strengthening the Future of Namibia's Financial Services Sector.

The NaSIA FIMA Executive Breakfast Session brought together regulators, legal experts and industry leaders to unpack the opportunities and implications of the Financial Institutions and Markets Act (FIMA) for Namibia's evolving financial services landscape.

The programme featured welcoming remarks by Josephat Mwatotele, insights on Standards as a Core Source of Law by Adv. Eliaser Nekwaya, and an expert presentation by Christine Rodrigues a Partner at Bowmans (Law Firm) on FIMA as a catalyst for innovation.
The engaging panel discussion included executive representatives from NAMFISA —Imanuel Hawanga, Hilka Kandali Alberto and Erich L. Gariseb —who shared regulatory perspectives and addressed questions from industry stakeholders.

As a sponsor of the session, NamibRe continues to support platforms that foster dialogue, strengthen industry collaboration and contribute to the sustainable development of Namibia's financial services sector.
