Charting a new path in financial services, we're proud to announce our rebranding from Kongaland to Konga Microfinance. This marks a renewed commitment to empowering the MSME sector, energy investments, and financial literacy for a sustainable future.

Financial service providers Kongalend have changed their name to @ Konga Microfinance.

According to the company’s Executive Chairman and founder, Tshoombe J Ndadi, the suffix “lend” in the previous name “Kongalend” confined the company’s business to lending only, which he believes is not the mandate the company aspires to restrict its future business to.

Over the last 14 years, the company provided productive finance to the MSME sector, off-grid households and farmers to invest in green energy technologies, as well as other financial services, to the tune of N$285 million in loans, impacting more than 25,000 direct loan customers.

“As a development oriented financial institution, we would like to embrace a holistic concept of a broader financial service provider, consistent with best microfinance practice globally, which includes the provision of not only credit, but also micro-insurance and with regulatory permissions, deposit mobilisation, transactional accounts, mobile money transfers and financial literacy,” said Ndadi.
