As we count down to the GREEM Public Lecture, hear from our Executive Director and Founder, Mr Vetumbuavi Mungunda, and Prof. Godfrey Dzinomwa, Head of the Department of Civil, Mining and Process Engineering at NUST, as they discuss the significance of Namibia's rare earth elements sector and the opportunities it presents for sustainable industrialisation and the global energy transition.

The discussion provides insight into the importance of the GREEM Project and the upcoming public lecture, which will explore how Namibia can unlock greater value from its critical mineral resources through green technologies, innovation and local beneficiation.

It is an absolute privilege for Ombu Capital to participate in the Accelerate-to-Demonstrate (A2D) Facility, managed by UNIDO and supported by the UK Government in bringing to reality demonstration technologies for the low-carbon processing of Rare Earth Elements (REE). The GREEM project will be implemented at Ondoto in the Kunene region in partnership with Kunene Resources Processing.

In order to broaden knowledge and understanding of the importance of REE for the global energy transition, and the potential impact for Namibia, Ombu Capital has partnered with NUST Research, Innovation and Partnerships in hosting a public lecture on Monday, 13 July 2026 from 17:00 - 20:30.
