Mariental is a small, yet flourishing town in the heart of southern Namibia and is the capital of the Hardap Region. Mariental offers fully registered and equipped motor dealerships in Ford, Toyota, Nissan, Isuzu, Chevrolet and more. In addition Tyre Fitment Centres can assist in tyre repair or replacement. Hardap Dam, situated 14km from the town centre is the largest reservoir in Namibia and provides water mainly for irrigation farming. The Hardap dam is also popular for boat enthusiasts and also well known for bank or boat freshwater angling. The Hardap National Game Park attracts bird lovers and game viewers.
