f Sabah, about 190 KM south-east of the state capital of Kota Kinabalu, Tenom is situated near the Padas River and surrounded by Crocker Range, known domestically for its fertile soil and its role as Sabah’s agricultural breadbasket. Tenom’s fruit in particular has been asserted as one of the best in the region. Located deep in the interior division of Tenom, Padas Farmstay sits atop a 35 acres estate of farmland and oil palm plantation that is open to both foreign and domestic visitors to explore and interact with. Tenom Padas Farmstay hosts one of Sabah’s integrated farming system. Visitors are afforded lodging at the farm and also served meals prepared from ingredients produced from the farm itself. The basis of Tenom Padas Farmstay experience is the farm tour. The farm tour showcases the crops, livestock and environment in and around the vicinity of the farm, incorporating a trek through the small buffer jungle that separates the farm from the banks of the Padas River. Visitors are informed on the practical benefits of tropical fruits and they also have the opportunity to harvest and sample fruits.
