We always think that we’re well covered, until the unfortunate happens.

Here are 3 important things that you must know:

1. With the cost of private hospitals now, if you’re not holding a medical insurance with at least 1 million in medical coverage, it is definitely not enough.

2. Generally, we would advice for everyone to go for at least 10x income protection for life, and 5x income protection for critical illness.

3. No matter what insurance plans you have, it’s best to review your policies once a year to ensure that you’re well protected.

Yesterday, I drove past a few restaurants and could see that people are starting to dine out more and more.

It’s good to see that the economy is slowly picking back up again, but we must still stay careful and vigilant and ask ourselves these important questions:

(1) Have you been vaccinated?

(2) With COVID-19 turning into an endemic now, is your medical card properly covering all your risks? If your medical card doesn’t cover up to RM1mil, it is likely not enough to cover private treatment for COVID-19.

(3) If you’re hospitalised for COVID-19 or other illnesses, do you have sufficient income protection to support your family while you’re away from work? Is your income well-protected?
