According to statistics, Malaysia reported a 16.2% medical inflation, which is the second highest in the Asia-Pacific region, just behind India.

So to put into perspective, a typical appendix operation now costs almost RM20,000. In 10 years time it will cost a whopping RM89,761. Needless to say, it will cost even more after 20 years
