This year, I realise Aidiladha touches the heart differently.
Beyond the celebration, this day speaks deeply about:
sacrifice
sincerity
humility
obedience
compassion
and the willingness to let go of ego for something greater than ourselves.
Today, many of us are not asked to sacrifice livestock, but perhaps we are being asked to sacrifice:
โข our anger
โข our pride
โข our selfishness
โข our constant busyness
โข our lack of presence with family and community.
In this modern world, we have become so connected digitally, yet sometimes emotionally distant. We chase deadlines, commitments, achievements, and survival,
but days like Aidiladha gently remind us to come back home to the heart, and return to humanity:
to kindness
to gratitude
to patience
to caring for one another again.
Remember... in the end, this life is temporary.
What remains are our intentions, our kindness, our faith, and the love we leave behind in the hearts of others.
May this Aidiladha soften hearts, strengthen relationships, and remind us that true wealth is not only in what we own, but in how we love, give, and uplift others.
Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha, peeps! ๐
