“Daddy, are you going to work tomorrow?”
Daniel looked at his daughter and smiled.
“Not tomorrow, sweetheart.”
She hugged him, happy to have him home.
But across the room, his wife was quietly checking their bank balance.
Just a few weeks earlier, life had been busy but familiar. Work, school runs, dinner together—and plans for their next family holiday.
Then a serious illness meant Daniel had to stop working. 💔
His first thought wasn’t about the holiday.
It was about the mortgage.
The children’s school fees.
And how long their savings would last.
That evening, he told his wife:
“I need time to recover. But I don’t know how we’ll manage without my salary.”
She held his hand.
“We’ll work it out together.”
Neither of them wanted her to carry everything alone.
💸 When an income stops, a family’s everyday needs don’t.
Medical bills are one concern. Keeping food on the table, paying the mortgage and giving someone time to recover are another.
Family protection planning starts with a simple conversation:
If you couldn’t work, what would your family need and what resources could they rely on?
