Trust Wallet has confirmed a security issue involving its Chrome browser extension, where hackers managed to steal around USD 7 million in crypto from hundreds of users.

The good news:
This did NOT affect the mobile app only the browser extension was compromised.

CZ (Binance founder) acknowledged the incident, and Trust Wallet stated that affected users will be compensated while security fixes are already in place.

A reminder for all of us in crypto:
Browser wallets are convenient, but not risk-free.
For larger funds, cold wallets and extra caution still matter.
