🌸 "I'm really thankful I got my medical card earlier..."
This is what one of my young clients told me just last week.
She’s in her 20s — healthy, energetic, just like most young adults.
At the end of 2022, she decided to get a medical card with me because she didn’t have one at the time. She told me, “I just want to protect myself, in case anything happens.”
Fast forward to early 2025, she suddenly had severe stomach pain and bloating.
She went to Sunway Medical Emergency, and after tests and a referral to the gynae, the doctor confirmed she had an ovarian cyst.
She called me immediately to ask about the admission process. I helped her arrange everything — she was admitted, went through surgery, and was discharged smoothly.
💰 That procedure alone cost around RM5,400 — fully covered by her medical card.
Then in May, she experienced stomach issues again.
The clinic doctor gave her a referral letter for a colonoscopy.
Once again, she reached out, I guided her to request GL (Guarantee Letter) under daycare, and thankfully it was approved. She completed the procedure and went home the same day.
💰 This time, the bill was around RM4,800 — also covered.
Last week, she messaged me and said:
"Thank God I got the medical card early.
If not, I might have to use my savings… or worse, borrow money from my parents.
I really didn’t want to be a burden to them if I ever got sick."
✨ And that was the exact reason she signed up two years ago.
Here’s the reality:
Many young people feel "I’m still healthy" or
"My company already gives me coverage",
so they push insurance aside — until something happens.
But let me ask you this 👇
Can you choose when you get sick?
Or what illness you'll get?
This is just one real story.
More coming soon — because real life doesn’t wait.
And neither should your protection.
