Death thrown 5 meters high
Value: Kelindan lorry died after being thrown out of its vehicle at Kilometer 280.7 South North South Highway near here, afternoon today.
Nilai Superintendant District Police Chief Mohd Fazley Ab Rahman said, the 32-year-old kelindan was thrown to Nilai-Salak Road under five-meter highway and died on the scene.
According to him, the accident at 4.15 pm involved a three-ton truck that was driven by a 38-year-old man and a van.
According to him, an accident happened when the van driven on the right lane by a 32-year-old man on his way from Kuala Lumpur to Melaka lost control.
′′ Vehicle involved then crashed to the left and violated the left side of the road before colliding with a truck involved.
′′ Due to the accident, the lorry driver suffered internal injuries and was receiving treatment at Tuanku Ja ' afar Hospital (HTJ) Seremban," he said.
However, according to him, the van driver involved did not suffer any injuries.
He said, the relevant case was investigated according to Section 41 (1) Road Transport Act 1987 and further investigation is still underway.
Meanwhile, Operation Commander of Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) Senior Fire Officer II Muhammad Shahrudin Md Din said, his side received a call on the incident at 4.25 pm.
According to him, upon arrival at the location, the lorry head was found involved in the road block.
′′ Firefighters immediately gave help and saved the trapped victim," he said.
