She’d often heard of the choices that others made in their lives,
But she never had those options.
Her story chose her and she never looked back to ask why.
Her life didn’t afford her the luxury of such questions- she was too busy conquering the next task, hustling to fix the next problem or figuring out how to get it all done.
She’d never shrink away from challenge or stop being her best self, regardless of the mountains life threw at her.
Truth is, she’d already been down all the wrong roads, loved all the wrong people and made all the worst choices.
Those things broke her in the deepest ways, but it also taught her what she couldn’t have learned any other way…
And she took every lesson to heart so as never to forget the pain that came with each misstep and misfortune.
Each piece she learned to put back together was a truth that she found out about herself..
And as she rebuilt her broken parts and burned the bridges to the places she never should have been..
She got wiser, braver and stronger.
She stopped worrying about what she couldn’t control and started focusing on what she could..herself.
She’d never be perfect, but then, she didn’t have to be.
She just had to be herself, real and authentic.
There was beauty in her broken pieces and she learned that she glowed a little brighter every day because of it.
She didn’t care where she had been, only where she was going, because she knew she possessed a fire that couldn’t be denied.
She was the most stunning complex woman- she celebrated and loved each broken part of the unique person she was becoming..
And she relished each step of her growth, her evolution and her journey.
One could go their entire life and never encounter such a creature as her..
She was the rarest imperfect combination of happiness and determination,
For she was brave, strong and broken, all at once.
It empowered her, strengthened her and most of all, made her completely unforgettable.
She wouldn’t have it any other way.
