Invest Melaka continues to strengthen Melaka’s position as a destination for sustainable and future-ready investments.
During a visit to FE Green PET (M) Sdn. Bhd., Datuk Ginie Lim, CEO of Invest Melaka, handed over the No Objection Letter (NOL) to Mr Su Hsuan-Hsu, Senior Vice President of FE Green PET, as the company moves forward with its investment in the state.
The company is developing a food-grade recycled PET (rPET) facility in Melaka, supporting the growing shift towards sustainable packaging and advanced recycling solutions. With an annual capacity of 50,000 metric tons, the project highlights the rising importance of circular manufacturing within the region.
Valued at RM948 million, the facility brings together high-value manufacturing, job creation, and green technology transfer, aligned with Malaysia’s Plastics Sustainability Roadmap 2021–2030 and its transition towards a circular plastics economy.
As Melaka continues to attract more sustainability-driven investments, the state is gradually evolving with innovation and environmental responsibility at its core.
