KUALA LUMPUR: Skyworld Development Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Aspirasi Cekap Sdn Bhd has secured a contract from Perbadanan PR1MA Malaysia (PR1MA) to develop affordable homes for PRIMA at Brickfields 2 in Kuala Lumpur.

PR1MA will be providing the development land for the proposed development and SkyWorld Development will be responsible for developing and completing the Proposed Development using its own funds, it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

“The proposed development consists of 491 units of PR1MA Homes. In consideration of the development rights, the company will pay PR1MA RM32.17mil,” Skyworld said.

The group expects the contract to contribute positively to future earnings and enhance the net assets of SkyWorld Development Group.

Belajar Lebih Cepat untuk Menang dalam Pelaburan Saham
Dalam dunia pelaburan saham, siapa yang belajar cepat, dia yang menang.
Kenapa? Sebab pasaran saham sentiasa berubah. Satu hari mungkin harga naik, esoknya jatuh. Yang penting, kita kena cepat adaptasi dan belajar dari setiap perubahan.
Bayangkan, kalau kita asyik tunggu nak belajar semua benda dulu baru nak mula, kita mungkin ketinggalan. Tak perlu tunggu jadi pakar baru nak mula melabur. Mulakan dengan langkah kecil, dan belajar sepanjang perjalanan. Setiap keputusan yang kita buat, baik atau buruk, adalah peluang untuk belajar.
Contohnya, bila kita buat silap dalam memilih saham, jangan terus rasa down. Ambil peluang tu untuk analisis apa yang salah dan belajar daripadanya. Mungkin kita terlupa tengok laporan kewangan syarikat, atau mungkin kita terlalu terpengaruh dengan hype. Semua tu pengalaman yang berharga.
Selain tu, rajin-rajin baca buku, artikel, dan tonton video tentang pelaburan saham. Belajar dari mereka yang dah berjaya. Tapi ingat, yang paling penting adalah kita aplikasi apa yang kita belajar. Tak guna kalau kita tahu teori je, tapi tak pernah cuba praktikkan.
Jadi, kalau nak menang dalam pelaburan saham, belajar cepat dan belajar terus. Jangan takut buat silap, sebab dari situ kita akan jadi lebih bijak. Setiap hari ada peluang baru untuk belajar sesuatu yang berguna.

KUALA LUMPUR: LPI Capital Bhd, which reported a 23% increase in net profit for the second quarter ended June 30 (2Q24), has declared a first interim dividend of 30.0 sen per share.

“This first interim dividend, which amounts to RM119.5mil, is part of the group’s continuing efforts to reward the shareholders for their continued support. This first interim dividend payment represents 66.6% of the group’s net profit attributable to shareholders,” LPI said in a statement.

The insurer posted a net profit of RM78mil, or earnings per share of 19.58 sen in 2Q24 compared with RM63.4mil, or 15.92 sen in the year-ago quarter.

Revenue for the quarter was higher at RM469.4mil against RM462.4mil previously.

The improved revenue was largely contributed by its general insurance segment, which increased to RM469mil as compared to RM462.1mil in 2Q23, due to the higher insurance revenue coupled with improved investment income.

LPI said the investment holding segment recorded marginally higher revenue of RM400,000 as compared to RM300,000, contributed by higher interest income received.

In the first half (1H24), LPI posted a net profit of RM179.3mil, up 30.6% from RM137.2mil while revenue increased marginally by 1.45% to RM939.2mil from RM925.7mil last year.

Net return on equity of the LPI Group increased to 8.0% from 6.5%, while earnings per share was reported higher at 45.01 sen from 34.45 sen in 1H23.

PETALING JAYA: Jati Tinggi Group Bhd (JTGB) has accepted a letter of award (LoA) form Worktime Engineering Sdn Bhd to perform sub-contract works to lay 33 kilovolts of aluminium XLPE underground cables and accessories in Selangor, worth RM41.07mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, JTGB said the scope of works would include the er****on of power cables, fibre optic cables, joint and termination works together with all ancillary works.

“The contract shall commence on Aug 20, 2024 and for a contract period of 22 months.”

JTGB said the LoA is expected to contribute positively to the future earnings, earnings per share and net assets per share of the company over the duration of the contract.

“The LoA will not have any effect on the share capital and the shareholdings of the substantial shareholders of the company.

“The board of directors of JTGB, having considered all aspects of the LoA, is of the opinion that the acceptance of the LoA is in the best interest of the company,” it said.
