Malaysia has seen a surge in COVID-19 coronavirus cases, bringing the total to 55 confirmed cases as of today. Both Taman Desa Medical Centre (TDMC) and Subang Jaya Medical Centre (SJMC) have confirmed COVID-19 coronavirus cases, which resulted in the temporary closure of all infected wards and emergency rooms to undergo sanitation and staff quarantine. It is important to avoid all hospitals at this time, except when medically necessary.

The sharp increase in coronavirus cases in Malaysia is worrying, but you can protect yourself and your family by following these COVID-19 prevention measures:

1. Wash your hands frequently
2. Keep away from crowded places
3. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
4. Cough and sneeze into your elbow or tissue
5. Distance yourself from sick people and hospitals
