US: US stocks closed higher overnight with energy leading as oil price rose above USD49/barrel to hit fresh highs for the year so far. The Dow Jones closed up 0.8% after rising as much as 1%. S&P 500 and Nasdaq rose 0.7% each. Markit Flash US services PMI for May was 51.2, down from 52.8 in April. Total mortgage application volume increased 2.3% for the week. US crude oil futures settled up 94 cents at USD49.56/barrel, highest since Oct, as weekly inventories from the EIA showed a drawdown of 4.2m barrels.
Europe: European stocks closed with strong gains as international creditors reached a deal to unlock more bailout funds for Greece and oil prices gained. Greece is now in line to receive 10.3bn euros in new loans, if a deal struck early is signed off by the 19 countries. German DAX climbed 1.5% while French CAC 40 moved up 1.1%. UK’s FTSE 100 rose 0.7%.
Asia: Stock market in Asia rallied sharply, as oil prices advanced to the highest levels in more than 7 months and investors shook off worries about US interest rate hike. Shanghai Composite index slipped 0.2% as its central bank guided the yuan to the weakest level against US dollar in more than 5 years. Hang Seng Index finished up 2.7%, the biggest gain in over a month. Nikkei 225 gained 1.6%. Asian markets are poised to open higher today, after advances in oil prices pushed US stocks higher.

Notable developments-
Leon Fuat’s 1QFY16 earnings plunged 91% YoY to RM620k as a result of a decrease in profit margins for its steel products.
Kelington has bagged a RM70m civil and structural works job in Perak after reporting a 88% YoY plunge in 1QFY16 earnings, due to impairment losses on certain projects, trade receivables and amounts owing from contract customers.
Vitrox’s 1QFY16 earnings surged 68% YoY to RM15.6m attributed to reversal of provision of prior year tax after the confirmation of new pioneer status.
CAB Cakaran’s 2QFY16 earnings surged by 147% YoY to RM6.2m due to higher average selling price for broilers and I-Bhd expects to perform better for FY16 after seeing a 50% jump in 1QFY16 earnings, led by higher contribution from its property development and leisure segments.

美国:美国股市昨晚收高,由能源相关股推高,因油价突破每桶49美元,触及新高。道琼斯指数收涨0.8%。标准普尔500和纳斯达指数各上涨0.7%。Markit Flash美国5月份服务业PMI下滑至51.2,相比4月份的52.8。申请抵押贷款总额增长了2.3%。美国原油期货上涨94美分至每桶49.56美元,为10月以来新高,主因是EIA数据显示每周库存下降4.2m桶。
欧洲:欧洲股市收涨,因为国际债权人达成协议,对希腊提供更多的救助资金以及油价上涨。希腊获得总值10.3bn欧元的新贷款,若犹如早期是由19个国家签署该协议。德国DAX指数涨1.5%,法国CAC40升1.1%。英国富时100指数增0.7%。
亚洲:亚洲股市纷纷走高,也是受到油价触及新高的影响,同时投资者也摆脱了对美国升息的担忧。上海指数下跌0.2%,基于中国央行引导人民币对美元触及5年以上的低点。恒生指数收涨2.7%,为1个多月的最大涨幅。日经225指数涨1.6%。由于昨晚油价上扬带动了美国股市收高,因此预料亚洲股市今天将开高。
大马:上升股达302只,下跌股达510只。
股市焦点–
两发(Leon Fuat)首季净利按年大挫91%至RM620k,归咎于钢铁产品的赚幅下滑。
科艺集团(Kelington) 获得RM70m的土建和架构工程,及提供机电服务给位于霹雳马登巴冷一项工程。
同时,该集团宣布首季净利按年大跌88%,主因是部分工程、贸易应收账项,以及客户拖欠债务面对减值亏损。
伟特机构 (Vitrox) 再次获得新先锋地位后,回收以前的税务,推高首季净利按年上扬68%至RM15.6m。
CAB机构 (CAB-Cakaran) 第二季净利按年飚涨147%至RM6.2m,主因是鸡肉的平均售价提高。
I-Bhd首季净利增长50%,归功于房地产和休闲业务的贡献,并且看好今年的业绩更胜往年。
