DoctorShield was honoured to participate in the Sarawak Medico Legal Conference (SMLC) 2026, held from 16 - 17 May 2026 at Mercure Miri City Centre under the theme “From Theory to Practice.”
Throughout the two day conference, healthcare professionals gained valuable insights from medico legal experts and KKM representatives on the growing challenges faced within today’s healthcare environment and the increasing complexity of medico legal exposure in modern medical practice.
DoctorShield was represented by Azlinda, who shared insights on the importance of:

The session reinforced the importance of ensuring both practitioners and healthcare establishments are adequately protected against evolving medico legal risks.

With the increasing adoption of digital healthcare systems and AI driven technologies, discussions also highlighted how healthcare professionals may face legal exposure arising from the unintentional disclosure or mishandling of confidential patient information, reinforcing the importance of data privacy awareness and proper risk protection.
