DoctorShield joined the Malaysian Private Dental Practitioners' Association Conference (MDPC) 2026, organised by the Malaysian Private Dental Practitioners’ Association, held at M World Hotel, Petaling Jaya from 11th to 12th April 2026.
Centred around the theme “Clinic Realities Off The Textbook,” the conference reflects a growing shift in dentistry, where clinical excellence must be matched with stronger awareness of risk, accountability, and operational realities in everyday practice.
Across discussions on prosthodontics, digital dentistry, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and clinic management (CKAPS), one thing was clear. Today’s practitioners are navigating increasing complexity beyond clinical care alone.
As part of the panel discussion, Japhire Gopi Kannan, Founder and CEO of DoctorShield, joined Genevieve Vanniasingham, Advocate and Solicitor, and Dr S. Shash*thaaran, Senior Dental Practitioner. The session was moderated by Dr Foo Gaik See, President of the MPDPA.
Together, the panel shared perspectives on medico-legal exposure, ethical decision-making, and the realities of managing risk in modern dental practice.
