Gas Malaysia has entered a Joint Development Agreement with Tokyo Gas and VTTI B.V. to develop a new LNG regasification terminal in Yan, Kedah. ⚡ Malakoff continues to strengthen Malaysia’s energy security with the extension of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) for its Lumut gas power plants with Tenaga Nasional Berhad.

The renewed agreements cover:
🔹 429MW GB3 Open Cycle Gas Turbine plant
🔹 1,303MW SEV Combined Cycle Gas Turbine plant

Together, both facilities will continue supplying 1,732MW to the national grid through 2029 — supporting reliable electricity generation and growing energy demand nationwide. 🇲🇾

This extension reflects confidence in existing infrastructure, operational reliability, and the continued role of gas-fired plants in ensuring grid stability during Malaysia’s energy transition.

The company has secured a RM96.8 million contract to supply seat covers for Proton’s upcoming AMA02 model, with production starting in October 2026. The deal runs for 84 months and further strengthens Feytech’s long-term partnership with Proton Holdings Bhd.
