We recently joined Karnival HPM in Penang, where we had the opportunity to meet visitors, connect with local businesses and share how digital payments can make everyday transactions simpler, more convenient and accessible.

For Paydibs, being on the ground at events like this is about more than introducing our payment acceptance solutions. Why can you usually Tap, but suddenly the Terminal asks you to Insert Card? 🤔💳

Don’t worry — it doesn’t necessarily mean your card is damaged or that there’s something wrong with the Machine.

While both Tap and Insert Card are ways to make a card payment, the verification process is different.

📱 Tap

Uses contactless technology to read your card details, making the payment process quick and convenient.

💳 Insert Card

Uses the Card Chip for additional verification.

So, when a transaction requires an extra layer of verification, the Terminal may ask you to insert your card instead.

Next time you see “Insert Card”, no need to panic!～

It simply means that this particular transaction requires an additional verification step. 💡
