Recently, our SCS Global Malaysia team gathered at Breakout Room, NU Sentral for an exciting team bonding session organized by our Sports & Recreation Committee.

From deciphering clues to racing against the clock, the experience challenged us in ways that felt surprisingly familiar to our day-to-day work. The difference? This time, there were locked doors involved.

Beyond the puzzles, it was a chance to strengthen relationships, reconnect with colleagues, and enjoy the moments that make being part of a great team so rewarding.

We had a great time engaging with clients and professionals at “Lim Kopi with Loyar Batik ➕”, an insightful session focused on the latest developments in stamp duty.

The session featured valuable sharing by our Outsourcing Partner, Desmond Yeoh and Mike Lee Seang Yik from Chan Lee & Co, covering:

✅ Key updates under the latest Stamp Act amendments

✅ Common contract drafting pitfalls that may lead to unintended stamp duty exposure

✅ Practical strategies to structure contracts more effectively

Beyond the technical insights, the session created meaningful conversations and connections over kopi in a warm, collaborative setting at De.Wan 1958.

こんにちは。SCS Malaysia ジャパンデスクのアシスタントマネージャー、中野由基（Yoshiki Nakano）です。

監査、飲食店の店長・経営、カスタマーサービスなど、常に「人に喜ばれること」を軸にキャリアを選んできました。

現在はその経験を活かし、日系企業の皆さまの課題に寄り添いながら、現地での事業推進をサポートしています。

趣味はお酒と読書で、休日は新しいお店を開拓したり、本で知見を広げたりしてリフレッシュしています。

入社の決め手は、日系企業支援に直接関われる点と、これまでの経験が活かせると感じたことです。

最後は、面接でお話しした上司の雰囲気に「ここで働きたい」と思えたことでした。

Hi, I’m Yoshiki Nakano, Assistant Manager at the Japan Desk, SCS Malaysia.

My background spans audit, restaurant management and ownership, and customer service—roles I’ve pursued with one consistent goal: making people happy and improving their experience. In my current role, I support Japanese companies in Malaysia by staying close to their challenges and helping move projects forward with clarity, care, and reliability.

Outside of work, I enjoy discovering new places to unwind and reading to broaden my perspective. What inspired me to join SCS Malaysia was the opportunity to directly support Japanese businesses, the chance to leverage my past experience, and ultimately the positive team atmosphere I felt when speaking with my Director.
