“Make your child’s dream come true”, is every parent’s desire.

That’s easier said than done.

However, I am not here to speak on behalf of parents as I am not one yet, but I definitely looking to start my own family in the near future. In fact, today I am going to share my view from a child’s perspective. A child who has a dream.

As a kid, I’ve always dreamt of continuing my studies abroad and see the world. Unfortunately, my dream didn’t come true. I came from a moderate family, and for my parents to put both my brother and I into college and overseas was impossible at that time.

So i told my parents that I am okay with completing my studies locally, because I understand really well that my parents didn’t have enough savings for our education.

As devastating as it is for me, I am pretty sure It wasn’t easy for my parents to break the news to me that they could only afford to put one of us through college overseas.

As I mentioned, I am in the midst of planning my own marriage and starting my own family. To be frank, I am already starting to worry. How do my partner and I prepare ourselves financially to fulfill our child’s dream in the future, with the high education costs that is always increasing?

Therefore, I started talking to some of my friends whom are parents to not only 1, 2, 3 but 4 kids and still manage to provide for their kids comfortably. And I found out that it all comes down to one thing.

Planning. Financial planning.

So, I’ve gathered all the tips and how-to’s from them and wrote them down for my keepsake.
If you’re like me, who wants to be able to make your children’s dreams come true, I would be more than glad to show you the tips and see how I can be of help.

Dear Millennials/ Blue’s Clues fan,

So have you watched Steve Burns’ heartfelt message to us yesterday? I 🥺🥺🥺, especially when he gets to the part,

“And then look at you, and look at all you have done, and all you have accomplished in all that time. And it’s just, it’s just so amazing, right?” Burns said. “I mean, we started out with clues, and now, it’s what? Student loans, and jobs and families? And some of it has been kind of hard, you know? I know you know.”

Burn is proud of me for getting this far. So it inspires me to continue helping more people and to remind my fellow friends that they should look into their coverages especially when we’re all grown ups now with responsibilities.

I always thought the insurance industry is not for the young and trendy 🤭 But tonight Manulife Malaysia and DU Life Group proved me wrong! Expectation versus reality. Hmm.

They made me an Insurance Rockstar! Thank you to Alex Tan, too, I got to dance again with a bunch of great dancers and sharing my humble journey with fresh graduates who are currently seeking for career opportunities during this difficult period.

I am glad to be where I am today and grateful to have found Lipson Ooi & DU Esther Chong when I was lost last year. Their continuous guidance and support got me here.

As long as you want to do it, rest assured we will always have your back.

Recently I’ve spoken to many young people and fresh grads...and gosh 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗪𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗚!

I always thought they all have the YOLO attitude and didn’t think about dreams. Fact is, they have bigger vision in life than many people my age! They just didn’t know how to start or where to go to.

So if you are also one with a big dream, we want to reach out to you and share with you an opportunity with a clear career path. It’s intimidating to step into the society, sometimes you’re lost, excited, worried etc. All sorts of mixed emotions! However, when opportunity arrives, grab it! Take a leap of faith and trust it. Believe in yourself, be willing to learn and Just Do It! Eventhough it isn’t the course you’ve studied in Uni, fret not because we will be with you all the way from zero to hero.
