🌎 US market closed on a mixed note with the Dow closing higher after positive earnings from consumer giants, while Nasdaq was impacted by the selloff in Netflix. The communication services sector led yesterday's losses but majority of the S&P 500 subsector finished the day higher led by real estate, consumer staples and the health care sector.

🇲🇾 Bursa Malaysia snapped its three day losing streak to close higher in tandem with the positive overnight movement in Wall Street. Market breadth turned positive to close broadly higher on Wednesday with gains led by the plantation sector with the firmer FCPO price.

USA
Wall Street's three major indices closed higher on Friday (March 18), with the biggest boost from recently battered technology stocks, after talks between US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping over the Ukraine crisis ended without big surprises.

EUROPE
European markets closed higher on Friday, notching their best weekly gain since 2020, as investors tracked negotiations between Russia and Ukraine and digested a big week of central bank decisions.

ASIA
Shares in Asia-Pacific rose in Monday morning trade, as investors reacted to the release of China’s latest benchmark lending rate. Oil prices also jumped around 3%.

MALAYSIA
Bursa Malaysia opened lower on Monday (March 21), weighed down by market sentiment as investors stayed cautious prior to the US-China call to discuss the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. Ok

GOLD
Gold was on track for its biggest weekly drop in nearly four months on Friday, after demand for the safe-haven metal was hit by hopes of progress in peace talks between Russia and Ukraine as well as the fallout from a U.S. interest rate hike.

OIL
Oil prices were set for a second straight weekly loss, but found a floor above $100 a barrel on Friday after volatile trading this week with no easy replacement for Russian barrels in sight in a market already marked by tight supply.
