Protecting the Core and Greatest Asset of the Business — EMPLOYEES ✨️

One of my corporate clients had been on the same employee benefits plan with another insurer for many years, but the coverage was very limited.
Their HR highlighted the need for better protection, and most importantly, the management took the initiative to upgrade and enhance their employees’ benefits with AIA in February 2025.

Just a few months later, the difference is already evident — multiple claims have been paid out swiftly, with hospital bills fully covered where the old plan would have fallen short and employees may be in financial burden.

🚨 From REJECTED ❌ to APPROVED ✅ in just 45 minutes!

One of my corporate client’s employee was scheduled for surgery today to remove an infected keloid.

But when the hospital submitted her Guarantee Letter (GL) request, it was declined.
WHY?
Because the hospital submitted only general information. Insufficient information on the condition given.
𝗞𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗶𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘂𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲𝘀 (𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲)

The hospital’s advice?
👉 “Pay first, then claim.”

The problem?
This wasn't for cosmetic, it was infected and painful and may cause further complications.
💔 And the bill is not small, and she simply didn’t have the means to pay upfront.

The solution?
✅ I stepped in to appeal the case and getting the doctor/hospital to make an appeal immediately
✅ Submitted proper documents + photos of her condition

⏱️Within 45 minutes, AIA approved it as a day-care procedure.

Here’s what many people don’t realise:
❌ Insurance companies don’t simply decline for “no reason”.
✅ There is always a reason — and if it’s a genuine case, with the right info and an agent to assist, there’s always a way forward.

💡 Having insurance is one thing. Having someone to stand by you and make it work when it matters — that makes all the difference.

🤔 Is your company insurance really enough?

Many Malaysians rely only on the insurance coverage provided by their employer.

But here’s the thing:

➡️ Company insurance is tied to your job. If you resign, get retrenched, or change careers — your coverage ends.
➡️ The medical limits may not keep up with the rising cost of healthcare.
➡️ Pre-existing conditions developed while employed will not be covered once you leave.

So the real question is — are you fully protected, or just temporarily covered?

Company insurance is a good benefit, but it should be seen as a bonus, not your only safety net.

The numbers don’t lie — medical costs are rising fast, and families depend on insurance when life throws surprises.

2022: RM4.07 billion
2023: RM5.12 billion
2024: RM5.75 billion

That’s nearly a 41% increase in just 2 years.

It’s a wake-up call for all of us:

Another claim for the year🏥
GL approved swiftly ✅️

My client was hospitalised and had to undergo a sinus surgery 👃🏻
And was re-admitted to the hospital the day after discharge due to bad side effects of surgery

Total Claim so far : RM 24,941.44 and ongoing

Since she has upgraded her medical insurance to AIA's latest medical plan, she would be able to claim for her follow-ups up to 180days after her discharge. ✅️
