Many Malaysians still think this… and it’s costing families time, stress, and money.

Let’s be clear 👇

Writing someone as next of kin does NOT mean:
❌ They own your house
❌ They can withdraw your bank money
❌ They automatically inherit your assets

👉 It ONLY means: person to contact

⚠️ Real situation:

Someone passes away…
Family goes to the bank confidently:
“I’m the next of kin.”

Bank says:
👉 “Please bring legal documents.”

📌 What is actually required in Malaysia?

✔️ Grant of Probate (if there’s a Will)
✔️ Letters of Administration (if no Will)
✔️ Nomination / Hibah / Trust (if arranged earlier)

Without these…
🚫 Assets can be frozen
🚫 Family may face delays & legal process

💡 Don’t confuse this:

✔️ Next of Kin = Contact person
✔️ Beneficiary = Who legally receives assets

👉 NOT the same

❤️ If you truly love your family:

✔️ Write a Will
