Most traders love NFP/CPI

I avoid it.

Not because I can’t trade it —
but because I’ve seen what it does.

During NFP, price moves fast.
Too fast.

Structure disappears.
Entries become inconsistent.

What looks like a good setup…
can fail instantly.

I took a trade once during NFP.

Everything looked right.
But ex*****on didn’t go as planned.

Slippage.
Missed entries.
No control.

That single trade
almost erased weeks of progress.

Since then, I stopped chasing volatility.

I focus on clean, structured setups.

Because in trading,
protecting capital
matters more than catching every move.

Opportunities are always there.

But your account?

Only one.

I keep a simple log of my trades.
Some people follow it.

3 losing streak in one day. Markets don’t care.

Three losing trades in one day can feel heavy, but in trading, this is part of the process.

A losing streak doesn’t define skill; it only reflects a short sequence of outcomes within a larger system.

What matters most is whether risk was controlled and the plan was followed.

If each loss stayed within predefined limits, the account is still protected.

Markets are random in the short term, but consistency comes from long-term ex*****on.

After a tough day, the focus should shift to review, not emotion.

One bad sequence doesn’t change a solid strategy—it only tests discipline and patience.

My April Trading Journal

Gaining 21.6% in April.

One market.
One focus.
Gold.

No overtrading.
No martingale.
No unnecessary risk.

Just waiting for clean setups and executing when it matters.

Most traders lose because they feel the need to be in the market all the time.

I spend more time waiting than trading.

This month was a result of that discipline.

I don’t run courses.
I just document my trades and results as they happen.

My strategy didn’t change me — Myfxbook did. It showed me the reality of how I trade.

The data isn’t for showcasing. It’s a reminder to stay grounded in my process.

It brings clarity: every entry, exit, and fluctuation is recorded, revealing patterns behind decisions.

It builds discipline: when actions leave a record, I act with intention and stick to my plan.

It enables reflection: drawdowns are documented, making lessons harder to ignore.

Over time, I’ve realized trading isn’t just about reading the market — it’s about understanding myself within it.

That awareness keeps me consistent, accountable, and focused on long-term improvement.

Last Thursday, I had two trades — one loss, one win.

The first was executed exactly as planned, but the market didn’t follow through and took me out.

The second came after waiting for proper structure, and this time, the move was clean.

Two different outcomes, but the same process — ex*****on.

This is where most traders get it wrong.

They focus on results, but overlook the only thing that actually compounds — consistency in ex*****on.

A losing trade doesn’t always mean a bad decision.

Sometimes, the setup is valid — the market just doesn’t align.

The real edge is not in being right every time, but in being able to repeat the same process regardless of the outcome.

Over time, that’s what builds stability.

Stay patient, stay structured, let the market do the rest.

Sometimes, slowing down in trading isn’t a weakness—it’s your edge.

Think of it like standing on a platform, waiting for the right train. Not every train is yours. Some may look fast, exciting, full of momentum—but if the direction is wrong, they’ll only take you further away from where you want to be.

Trading works the same way. You don’t need to catch every move. You don’t need to chase every opportunity.

The real skill is in waiting—waiting with discipline, with clarity, with confidence.

There will be moments when you feel alone, watching others jump in and out of trades, questioning if you’re missing out. That’s where most people lose. But not you.

Because the right setup, the right moment—it always comes to those who are prepared.

The market doesn’t reward impatience. It rewards precision.

So don’t rush. Don’t force it. Stay grounded, stay sharp.

As long as you’re still in the game, your opportunity isn’t gone—it’s just on the way.

Market volatility tests ex*****on discipline even more.

As gold surged due to news-driven volatility, many were swept by emotions, but I focus more on ex*****on.

Daxton Gold consistently follows the same trading plan: plan first, wait for structure confirmation, and only enter when conditions are met.

It may look slow, but this time the market aligned, delivering a clean 4R trade setup.

It’s not about taking every move, but only trading what is clear and manageable.

In high-volatility environments, what truly creates the difference is not prediction, but patience and discipline.

Why I don’t hold trades over the weekend?

The situation in the Middle East has remained tense, with rising geopolitical uncertainty.

Many key developments tend to unfold over the weekend—whether it’s ceasefire negotiations, conflict escalations, or unexpected breaking news.

This is why we often see gap openings on Monday.

Instruments like gold and crude oil can skip key price levels entirely, leading to sharp and volatile moves.

In such conditions, even stop losses may fail to provide proper protection.

Because of this, I stick to a strict rule:
No positions held on Friday. Never carry trades over the weekend.

If an extreme gap occurs, what you face is not a normal trading loss—it’s uncontrollable risk.

Real consistency in trading doesn’t come from chasing every opportunity, but from protecting your capital before risk hits.

Long-term profitability is always built on risk management.
