Gunung Kosciuszko terletak di NSW, Australia. Dengan ketinggian 2200 meter dari paras laut, ianya adalah gunung tertinggi di Australia. Tak ramai orang Malaysia yang aku tengok pernah sampai dan pernah tengok MILKY WAY macamni.

As the peak season for the Milky Way is almost getting over I am already thinking of the new season next year. I am sort of accustomed to visiting Mount Kosciuszko at the beginning of every year for the past 5 years. Photographing the Milky Way in the majestic Snowy Mountains was an other-worldly experience. In this image, the clear Milky Way is rising over sublime Aries Tor before sunrise and I was there with my son, feeling the energy of the universe.

Keindahan alam bila kita travel. Yang tau saja tau..

"Pine Island"

In May, I met with Peter Ensrud and Abe Blair at Lake Tahoe for a night of astrophotography.

After shooting the panorama I published a while ago, we raced to this spot, which we reached with just enough time to capture the scene before dawn washed out the contrasts in the sky.

Abe used his drone to provide some low-level lighting from above. While I liked the increased foreground detail and the colors in the transparent water, the lighting was a tad bright for my taste, and it made the reflection of the stars and the faint Milky Way completely disappear.

That's why I also shot the foreground conventionally, without any lighting.

During post processing, I played around with both versions and finally decided I liked a blended version best. The sky was captured separately with my usual tracked narrowband filter technique.

PS: I like the result a lot, and I think it shows the potential of low-level lighting with drones. For those who do not know me very well: that's a big compliment coming from someone who does not like drones at all.

Ada apa dengan Iteawon selain daripada cerita Iteawon Class lakonan Park Seo Jun? Dalam salah satu babak cerita tu, Park Seo Jun mencari crush beliau setelah balik berkelana waktu pesta Halloween. Iteawon memang menjadi salah satu tapak perarakkan pesta Halloween di Korea Selatan dan menjadi tumpuan pelancong dari seluruh dunia. Mengikut laporan media, perarakkan Halloween kalini dihadiri pengunjung dari dalam dan luar negara dengan jumlah 10 kali ganda kebiasaannya setelah 3 tahun dibatalkan akibat Covid 19. Dikatakan 18 warganegara luar turut terkorban dalam tragedi ini.

Selalunya kalau berkunjung ke Korea Selatan, nak jumpa orang Malaysia senang saja. Cari saja kat Iteawon insyaAllah jumpa. Kat sana pun banyak tempat-tempat makan yang halal dan harga jangan convert duit Malaysia nanti tak lalu nak makan. Hahaha…kat sana jangan pelik pulak kalau tengok minah korea pakai skirt pendek lepak kat halaman Seoul Central Mosque aka Masjid Iteawon.

Bila sampai saja kat oversea, beg tak sampai lagi. Bila sibuk mencari beg kat kaunter airlines, tiba-tiba tersandung patah kaki…the rest is history bila call company insurance, customer service kata semua pay and claims…balik Malaysia baru boleh claims…duit bawa memang cukup-cukup nak travel saja…nak sakit kena buat swipe kad kredit…

Ambil Tripcare 360 atau insurans perjalanan yang lain tapi tak declare dekat company insurans untuk naik belon panas. Biasanya bila ambil sendiri secara online tanpa consult dengan ejen, memang jadi macamni. Janji coverage murah, mampu milik tapi takcoverful. Bila jadi masalah, terus salahkan syarikat insurans yahudi jual polisi pi umrah balik hari. List adventurous activities ada kat sini. Perlu bayaran tambahan untuk cover aktiviti berikut. Harap maklum.
