The housing market has been holding its own, VERY WELL I may add, since 1942. Sure, prices are leveling out and tempering their once double-digit returns, but housing is NOT crashing.

Let’s just look at the national average of home prices for the past 13 years:
2012: up 6%
2013: up 11%
2014: up 5%
2015: up 5%
2016: up 5%
2017: up 6%
2018: up 5%
2019: up 4%
2020: up 10%
2021: up 19%
2022: up 6%
2023: up 6%
YTD 2024: up 2%

***Since 1942, OUTSIDE of the major market reset from 2007 – 2011, home prices have INCREASED every year EXCEPT in 1990 when it was down 1%.
